It’s hard to tell where the sky and mountains end and where Villa Nirvana (Heaven) begins in this Mid Century modern house, composed for serene modern mountain living.
Perched at 3000 ft. on an acre of untouched woodlands, Villa Nirvana harmonizes with vibrant nature and the infinite sky outside, with flowing hickory floors, translucent sky blue walls, and sleek wood furniture.
Imagine…
Ensconced in an oasis of sophisticated style, sip your coffee in the morning in the Sun Room, gazing at a long range view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina and the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, sixty miles away. In the evening, cook a luscious meal in our fully stocked galley kitchen, or on the gas barbie outside on the Sky Deck, then dine at our vintage Danish table, or out on our ultra-comfy chaise lounges on the porch. Toast your loved ones with a glass of wine as the sun goes down and night blankets Villa Nirvana, then marvel at the magical view of Hendersonville, sparkling like a jewel of lights in the distance.
After a wonderful day exploring our entrancing Western Carolina environs, slip into bed in clean white linen sheets in a mission queen bed in the Master Bedroom, or vintage mahogany twin beds in the Guest Room. In the morning, you’ll wake up refreshed and rejuvenated to the pink and aqua sunrise outside your private balcony.
Envision…
After breakfast, hop into your car and within a short drive, you’ll arrive at the charming town of Hendersonville, where first-rate bakeries and restaurants and quaint stores abound. Another twenty-thirty minutes and you’ll be in Asheville, known for its culinary cool, indie music scene, and unsurpassed antique stores and arts and crafts community.
We’ve found Villa Nirvana to be a fantastic launching pad from which to explore the Biltmore Vanderbilt Estate and its majestic grounds, share a drink at The Grove Park Inn (built in 1913 from granite stone) with its massive fireplaces and awesome mountain views, cruise gorgeous Lake Lure in a nifty pontoon boat, and hike and swim in waterfalls in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Perfect for a romantic getaway but also ideal for friends and family, with a wrap-around L-shaped porch (partly screen enclosed), Villa Nirvana also features fun Mid-Century art and objects, a 60” TV with a variety of sports and movie channels, games from miniature pool to Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and Monopoly, and even an old fashioned record player with records to dance to.
Imaginative and playful in its Mid-Century Modern design, come stay with us for a few days or a few weeks at Villa Nirvana and fall in love like we did with the serene mountain setting, mesmerizing sunsets and sunrises, and posh retro style.
