Country house, 2 km from beautiful small town and beautiful beaches. 3 double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, the house sleeps 6. It was built in 17 th century, and fully renovated in 2016. One bedroom with double bed, and two with twin beds, Spacious living rooms, one in ground floor and a second one with a half bathroom in first floor with views to the forest.

The house is fully equipped, kitchen, cupboards, heating, WIFI, barbecue, garden and patio in a 540 sqm lot. Being at the highest point of the rural center and facing south it enjoys privileged views and lots of light. The area is very quiet, 2 km from the beautiful Nueva village, holding every service, 2 km from beautiful beaches, and an impressive drive strait to the highest part of the Picos de Europa mountain range, up to 9000 ft high ,

Notes:
Within just 1-3 miles from the house there are some of the best beaches in Asturias - Gulpilluri , Cuevas del Mar, San Antonio, and the great beaches of San Antolin where you can also surf, Toranda and truly wild Torimbia . Only 7 miles away is the Sella river, the best known in Spain for rafting, conoeing and salmon fishing. Just 200 meters from the house is the old "Camino de Santiago", in one of its most bucolic and well preserved portions. Only one mile away it enters Nueva ("Prettier Village in Asturias" in 1963). In addition, the entire set is just 16 miles from the impressive mountain range Picos de Europa, spectacular landscapes mounting from the seashore to the close by Naranjo de Bulnes (8,000 feet high). Local culture is very much diverse and alive, festivals, music, cuisine, the Museum of Jurassic dinosaur remains, caves with stunning cave paintings, Visigothic and Romanesque art, and much more to discover.

Spacious light and airy house - brand new for us

The house had only just been completed when we stayed there - we were the second week - so everything was brand new. The living spaces in the house are very spacious and light and airy and the owners very helpful giving us advice on places to eat, beaches to go to and providing a kettle for us when we noticed there was't one ( an essential item for English visitors!). The view from the terrace/ sitting areas inside is wonderful up to the hills. The double bedroom is quite small, but sufficient, and the two twin bedrooms upstairs only have skylights so you miss out on the views, but this is made up for by the huge windows in the living areas. Overall it is a peaceful rural spot; there is some noise form the nearby road, but when we were there it was not intrusive and there is a quarry nearby so occasionally you would hear a 'boom'. The bathrooms are brand new and very good. Some of the fittings in the kitchen need a little snagging to make them work perfectly - e.g. being able to open the dishwasher door completely, and some of the sealing around the windows, but the owners are aware of this and I imagine they will sort this out once the summer is over. The location was brilliant for sea and hills - we found an amazing walk onto a ridgeway just by continuing up the road into the mountains and there were some great beaches for surfing and swimming really nearby (less than 15 minutes away). Overall we felt lucky to have found this place between the hills and the sea.
