About Julie Davenport

We live in Nottingham and fell in love with Cornwall many years ago. I went on holiday to St Ives as a child, worked there as a teenager and couldn't wait to take my own children there. We now visit several times a year and always enjoy our time there - whatever the weather!

Our apartment has uninterrupted sea views from St Ives across the bay to Godrevy lighthouse - what is there not to love? We were also drawn to the character of Pentowan Court - a Victorian property - the first to be built on Headland Road - it belonged to the mine owner!

Lovely accomodation. Beautiful views

The flat was spotless and we felt at home straight away thanks to the lovely furnishings. Plenty of towels and beds lovely and comfy. The window in the living room is huge so it was great to sit down and watch the sea. Our 3 year old loved the trip on the train to St Ives. Highly recommended.

Alovely apartment in a superb location.

This was our second stay here after previously enjoying a break with our Grandchildren. It's a beautiful bright clean and welcoming place with a homely loved feel about it. It has all you need for a comfortable stay-plenty of towels, lovely comfortable beds and a modern well designed kitchen with cooker, dishwasher fridge freezer etc. The apartment is designed with a nautical theme with lots of local artwork which was nice to see. There are added extras for families such as games books dvd's and body boards/ beach games. Without doubt the view over Carbis Bay to St Ives is what sells this apartment for us, waking up to this is simply magical! There are lots of amenities close by-supermarket, pub, fish n chips and train station plus of course a short walk down to the magnificent beach. Exploring Cornwall is easy from here and we particularly enjoyed Hayle Beach which is a 10 min drive away. All in all I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough and am sure we will be back!

Carbis Bay beach is only 5 minutes walk away and the many attractions of St Ives can be reached on foot (25 minutes) or by train (5 minutes). The train station is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. St Ives offers numerous outstanding restaurants, galleries and museums, including the Tate St Ives, as well as blue flag beaches, surfing, sea fishing and seal island trips.
