Four bedroom + sleeping lofts sleeps up to 16 in peaceful village location

In a tiny hidden away village, this old Methodist chapel has four double bedrooms, each with an ensuite, a sleeping loft for up to 4 children, another adult sofa bed where two can sleep, and a sofa bed in the living room. 8 Adults can sleep comfortably, with up to 4 more spaces available if you really want to squeeze everyone in. There are 4 more sleeping spaces which are only really suitable for children. Three of the proper bedrooms have convertible twin beds/king-size double beds ( hotel standard zip and lock type), allowing maximum flexibility in use for the sleeping arrangements.

The living space is huge, with a table that can accommodate everyone, a huge and well equipped kitchen with a range cooker, and lots of fun features, including the original pulpit.

Trewalder is only 10 minutes from Trebarwith Strand, and within easy reach of well-known Cornish places, including Tintagel, Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock, Padstow. The Eden Project is slightly away, at 45 minutes.

There are opportunities nearby for lovely walks, including moor and coast-path, off-road cycling,horse riding, golf, surfing, sailing, coasteering and paintballing. The local village of St Teath has a village store, post office and public house, 'The White Hart'. Local towns include Camelford, 3 miles away, and Wadebridge, 7 miles.

This is a lovely conversion with a real wow factor, in a hidden away village but still in easy reach of some of the best beaches in Cornwall. The space is what everyone talks about - a real Tardis of a building. It is also equipped to give things to do for everyone. The cooking facilities are top class, with plenty of storage. Everything is provided, including beach towels.

What makes this house unique

For those who like to declaim to the assembled throng, Having the original pulpit is an added benefit. Children love to explore the many hidden corners and features, and the underfloor heating and log burner in the living room make it cosy when it needs to be. The decor is stylish - but not precious. A place to relax and have fun, with family and friends, and surrounded by some of the most beautiful and dramatic countryside that can be found anywhere.

Amazing property and really great host

I can't recommend enough 'The Chapel' at Trewalder. The Chapel is such an interesting place to stay, details such as the pulpit in the kitchen, the little balcony sleeping area with ladder to reach it, the pool and table tennis and the secret door between rooms made it such fun for the adults and children.

The kitchen was well stocked and fitted out, location great for beach and sites - Tintagel was amazing! Cycling to Padstow from Wadebridge great fun. And you can't beat exploring beaches from our Secret Beaches book.

Jon is also a great host, very knowledgeable about his area, and keen to let you into all the local secrets.

Highly recommended, and we will be back if he'll have us!

Spacious and Cozy

This was a great property which was perfect for our large family reunion. The house is very large inside giving us all plenty of space, with a cozy log fire and plenty of games. It is great for children and adults alike.

Jon was especially helpful in settling us in, and was kind enough to post an iPad back to us which we had left behind! His suggestions about the local area were spot on and nothing was too much trouble.

We all really enjoyed our stay at The Chapel and we would return again.

Spacious and comfortable.

As two young families of 5 we really enjoyed the space of this property and with such a knowledgeable, friendly and local owner we were able to make the most of some hidden gems on the North Cornish coast. We would definitely return!

Cornwall's hidden gem!

My wife and I have just had a brilliant holiday here with my three daughters, their husbands, and ten grandchildren in this wonderful property.

Great location, creatively converted chapel, good facilities and and within easy reach of everything you need for a great family holiday.

The owner, Jon, met us on arrival and talked us through how everything works and then gave us some great tips on places to go and places to avoid. Some really good local knowledge here that made our stay very enjoyable.

Faced with the crowd that is our family, Jon went to great lengths to ensure the we got the most from the property, laying out bedrooms and allocating space, which meant we literally just walked in and unpacked. The kids loved the property, for them it was pretty much magical and there was never a dull moment.

The kitchen is well equipped and very efficient. There are toilets and bathrooms everywhere. The lounge was comfortable and well equipped. My wife and I have rented a few holiday properties over the years, this has been by far the best.

We had an excellent week and made many great memories, the property was very much a part of that.
