Our chalet apartment in the heart of Klosters, Switzerland (with Sauna) offers luxurious and comfortable accommodation with everything you could possibly want for a fantastic holiday. It is a true home from home, stylishly and beautifully furnished and equipped in an excellent location. Enjoy romantic evenings around the log fire, dine in candlelight, stretch out on the huge sofa with a glass of wine or a drink from the free bar, play a game or watch a DVD or catch up with your favourite programmes on the 52" surround sound system TV, or take a relaxing sauna after a hard day's skiing or hiking. When you don't feel like cooking, take a 5 minute stroll to world-class restaurants and romantic fondue stüblis, or take the family for pasta or pizza. After dinner have a nightcap in one of the piano bars, or head for the nightlife.


Our chalet apartment is perfectly positioned to take adavantage of all Klosters has to offer - everything is in walking distance! In winter it is an 8 minute flat walk in ski boots to the Gotschna ski lift accessing the main ski region of Klosters and Davos. Restaurants are within a mere stone's throw away and the main shops are only 5 minutes away on foot.


Chalet Platzersch hof, Klosters, Switzerland is a 145 square metre apartment and was built in 2008. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms (two en-suite) and three balconies, facing east, south and west with pleasant triple aspect views of the village and mountains. All the furniture and fittings are of the highest quality.

LIVING AREA: The extremely large sitting room is equipped with a huge cream leather corner sofa with adjustable back and incorporated chaise (comfortably seats 10). There is a 52 inch Samsung flat screen HD TV with Swisscom TV 2.0 which includes English freeview channels (and hundreds of German, French, Italian and other language channels) plus a recording and play-back facility and home cinema surround sound system with DVD and CD player for your enjoyment (with a library of DVDs). The log fire and Italian lighting creates a cosy and romantic feel. There is a Bose docking station for your i-pod and i-phone. The glass and chrome dining table with cream leather chairs provides comfortable and sophisticated seating for 8 people.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, good quality and plentiful supplies of saucepans, frying pans etc. Naturally there is both a cheese and meat fondue and a raclette machine for your use.

There is access to the south-facing balcony from this living/dining room. The balcony is equipped with a modern table and 4 reclining chairs and 2 upright chairs, and an Outdoor Chef gas BBQ.

BEDROOMS: The main bedroom has a huge and very comfortable modern (2.40 metre by 2.40 metre) bed with incorporated bedside tables and lighting and with good quality bedding. There is a double wardrobe with ample hanging and shelf space.

This room leads on to the east facing balcony with two comfortable chairs and wine table. There is a full en-suite bathroom, with bath and in-built shower, toilet and wash basin.

The second bedroom (with en-suite shower room) has two extra-wide twin beds (1.20 metres wide) and an 82cm flat-screen Sony HD TV with English Freeview TV channels and an XBOX 360 with Kinekt and XBOX Live account (so that you can play online) and PLAYSTATION 3 plus games and DVD's. Again there is a double wardrobe with ample hanging and shelf space. There is also a desk in this room with a library of English books and a laptop for your use.

The third bedroom has two single beds (head to tail) and small west facing balcony with double wardrobe and a supply of children's games and board games. The third bathroom (with shower) is across the hallway and this additionally houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

WI-FI: Naturally there is extreme high-speed (download 20000 kBits, upload 2000 kBits) wireless internet connection throughout the apartment (with two routers to maintain complete coverage even if every member of the family is logged on).

SAUNA: There is an in-house sauna in the basement which can be reserved for your private use with large walk-in shower and relaxation area.

Finally, the apartment also offers a ski room with heated boot storage and an underground private car parking space. We also have sledges for your use. Towels are provided for the bathrooms, beach/swimming towels and sauna towels are also provided.

We bought our apartment from new in 2008. It is in a great location in Klosters, being a short walk from all ameneties. Buying from new allowed us to choose the interior. As it is our second home we have spared no expense in furnishing and equipping it. It is a lovely place to stay at all times of the year. We derive great pleasure from our second home and hope you will too.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment has a very large living area which allows everyone to spread out and relax. It also has three bedrooms, three bathroom and three balconies so everyone can have their own facilities and privacy.

The Sauna (which is reserved for private use) is also an added bonus.

Kim and Rene couldn't have been better hosts to our family holiday. They were incredibly helpful before, on arrival and during our holiday. Their welcome was extremely generous and really set the tone for a wonderful time. Their apartment is spacious, warm and homely with everything you need. It is also very close to the centre of town and the Gotschnabahn. It is by far the best apartment we have ever rented! Thank you both so much for allowing us into your home and we very much look forward to coming back.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Klosters and the highlight was staying in Chalet Platzersch hof. It is the nicest holiday apartment we have ever rented. It is the owner's second home and is extremely well equipped; luxurious and stylish but also comfortable and homely. We particularly loved the living room, which is huge. It was wonderful to make ourselves comfortable around the fire with a glass of wine after a day's skiing. The apartment is great for both young and old, with a very large selection of children's DVD's in the second bedroom as well as a good selection of games for the X-box and PlayStation as well as conventional games and toys to play with. I should also mention that the TV package was also very good with all UK mainstream channels available with a playback and recording facility too. It is clear that no expense has been spared on setting up and equipping the apartment. The location is excellent, being an easy walk to the ski lift and to the supermarket and all the other facilities Klosters has to offer. The owners were incredibly helpful and generous and we very much appreciated staying in their fabulous home.

The Graubunden region

Klosters nestles in the rural part of Graubünden with a romantic village-like atmosphere. The Engadine is easily accessible via the Vereina tunnel. Klosters belongs to the league of family resorts bearing the Families Welcome quality mark. Klosters offers a unique combination of a renowned mountain resort and the idyll of an unspoilt Graubünden village. The diverse range of activities on offer in summer and winter is well suited to skiers, non-skiers and people of all ages. Due to the height of the Alps, Klosters is considered snow sure. There are 54 ski lifts, 300km of pistes, 3 sledge runs, 100km of winter walking trails, ice hockey, ice skating, curling, horse-drawn sleigh rides etc., indoor swimming pools (including one in Davos with a heated thermal outdoor pool). In the Summer enjoy unlimited walking trails, mountain biking, 9 hole golf course (Klosters) and 18 hole golf course (Davos), horse riding, tennis, swimming, rollerblading, archery and the Madrissa adventure park etc. etc.


Klosters is justifiably world famous for winter skiing. It has maintained its picture postcard Alpine village feel, but at the same time the lift link to Davos and all the kilometres of trails in-between (300km of pistes) ensure that visitors have a truly world class winter sports arena to enjoy, and unlike many big areas, there are challenges for all ability levels here, not just endless intermediate level terrain. With the highest lifts and ski slopes above 2500m, Klosters ski area is snow sure and with plenty of mountain restaurants dotted all over the slopes, you can set your own pace. It also offers a whole host of summer activities (e.g. golf, walking, biking, swimming, sailing, horse-riding, archery etc.) Klosters has a village feel, but offers something for everyone from sophisticated award-winning restaurants, cozy and romantic fondue stüblis to pizzerias for all the family. There are some fun apres-ski bars, piano bars and more lively bars and a nightclub for any youngsters or the young at heart in your party, basically you can dance the night away whatever your style. Davos, which is a short car journey away or 20 minutes on the train which is free with your visitors card, offers a wide selection of bars, restaurants and hotels and is one of a very few mountain towns in Switzerland. There is a small cinema in Klosters and a larger one in Davos. There are some fantastic hiking trails accessed directly from the apartment and horse-drawn carriages/sleds can be hired from just around the corner.
