Overview

About the property

Very conveniently located in the village of Y Felineli, ideal for Anglesey, Llanberis and the Snowdonia, the historic town of Caernarfon and not far from tourist places such as Llandudno. Children's attractions nearby include the Greenwood Forest Park within 2 minutes of the property, the High Ropes in Llanberis and the Beacon Climbing Centre in Caernarfon to mention a few. There are lovely cycling paths nearby.

The house itself is ideally suited for families or groups planning to stay together, with an unusual setup - the living areas to the top floor to take full advantage of the views, and the bedrooms to the bottom floor. There is a large furnished lounge with 55 inch tv (freeview), dvd player and a range of dvds, a fully furnished kitchen/diner with patio doors opening out into the balcony to appreciate the fantastic views, washing machine and dryer, gas central heating, and a cloak room. There are 4 bedrooms of which 3 of them are double (one can be used as a family room). Two have en suites (one with a jacuzzi), and a main bathroom. There is a relaxing area with seating set up as a library with a range of story books for different tastes. The front and the back of the property have patches of established gardens. There is a patio to the back of the property to relax on a nice warm evening looking onto the menai straits and Anglesey beyond.

Fabulous property with stunning views.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is large and well equipped, and the view from the kitchen diner is just stunning. Lovely to find a welcome pack waiting for us, and we will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful views, excellent spacious accommodation, highly recommended.

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautifully presented with all the facilities we could have wanted. The lounge and dining area are more than big enough. Even the downstairs bedroom hall is huge!

The bedrooms are great with good quality of furnishings. The washrooms total three showers, 4 toilets, a bath with jacuzzi and plenty of (very) hot water so there is no need for queues in the mornings.The kitchen also has plenty of everything for a party of 8.

There is good parking beside the road for three vehicles and plenty more behind the house but be careful of grounding at the top of the steep ramp.

Overall we could not have been happier with Hilbre and may well visit again. It is close to the village shop down the footpath and, if you need, there are very frequent buses to Bangor and Caernarfon. We will always remember the views across the Menai Straits to Anglesey.

Beautiful home, good location, thoughful owners

  • 5 of 5

Booked this for a Christmas get away. There were 7 of us, between ages 3 and 80.

We've been to Anglesey/North Wales many times in the past so we have an idea of the area already.

The house is a lot larger than it appears in the photos currently. It's situated right on top of a hill with beautiful views of the Menai straights.

Location 5/5;

It was very easy to find with the instructions provided, the local village has a chinese/fish and chip shop and a conveinece store which was handy as we ended up not having any food for our first night (due to the person in our group who was bringing it not turning up until 1am..!)

Bangor is about a 10 minute drive away which has pretty much everything you'll need; i.e. a massive Tesco, Morrisions, a retail park (Next, Argos, Halfrauds etc) and also the town centre which has shops.

House 5/5;

It's a lot larger than it appears in the photos, it eaasily accomidated us and it was so spacious we weren't stepping on each other toes.

The sleeping arrangement is 4 rooms sleeping; 2, 2, 3, 1. 3 of the 4 rooms have large built in Waredrobes, 2 of them have en suites, there's a large bathroom with shower/bath and also another toilet. I'm 6ft 3 and I had the single room, no issues at all - I actually noted the make/model of the mattress it was that comfty.

We had planned on bringing a blow up bed to sleep another in the single room, I wasn't certain there would be room but it would've easily been possible if required.

Things worth mentioning;

When we arrived the heating was on so the house was warm, there was a christmas tree with gifts under it for the children and there was tea making items/cereal too. There are loads of books for adults and children along with board games too - very thoughtful. The house was also immaculate.

All in all a wonderful stay, as mentioned before we've been to many houses over the years and we've all agreed this was the best one we've stayed in.

Excellent and outstanding property

  • 5 of 5

We had a very pleasant and a memorable stay at this property. It truly defined the word 'holiday home' since it had all the amenities associated with a 'home' . The property was clean and well-maintained with excellent customer service. This home can indeed boast of scenic views and excellent ambience. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and relatives.
