About this property

Great log cabin situated on the edge of the Shenandoah River. One king bed, two queen size beds, sleeps 4-6 comfortably. Two gas fireplaces and wood burning fire pit on lawn. Wrap around deck allows views of river and mountains, large front deck with charcoal grill and view of river. Fully stocked kitchen with electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, grill gear and a wide range of utensils and dishes.

One canoe and four kayaks are provided for guest use. Tubing, rafting and fishing allowed from private access. Drop off point upriver near bridge crossing or deepwater put in to tube or raft back to cabin. Close to town of Luray with cavern attractions, confidence air-rope coarse and zoo, multiple restaurant choices. Shenandoah State park roughly 15 minutes away. Skyline Drive offers breathtaking views of valley, hiking trails, biking trails and state park facilities.

New flat screen TV installed in living room with large selection of dvds, books and family board games. Nintendo WII and small flat screen in loft to entertain kids or adults at night. Cell signal is inconsistent, Verizon and AT&T do get 3G with the proper weather.

No additional charges for extra guests. All linens and towels are provided free of charge.

Dog friendly, no silly per dog per night fees, dogs are part of the family why should they rate an extra charge

Smoke free cabin. Smoking allowed on wrap-around deck and grounds please properly dispose of butts.

Two night rentals are required, discounts are offered for week-long stays.

River retreat

The property was spotless and included everything needed for a short stay. It's remote location is beautifull and also close to Luray for shopping and dining. My boys loved fishing at will and I loved the peaceful view and sound of the river. Really enjoyed our weekend retreat!

Perfect get away

First, the pictures do this cabin NO justice. It’s beautiful inside and out. We came up for a funeral and we were looking for a place to stay with our family. Never did I think I wouldn’t want to leave to go back home. This place had everything we needed, the weather was gorgeous, and the host was very easy to work with and very responsive. We will definitely be back and may even be a new yearly get away for us!

Beautiful getaway!

The cabin and property was beautiful!!! It was perfect and cozy. We wish we could’ve stayed another night or two. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! We will be back! :)
