Perfect apartment, perfect host
Having spent a whirlwind 3 days in Rome, we hoped to slow the pace down when we arrived for a week in Positano. Being the middle of summer, Positano was a busy place, but the wonderful apartment meant that we always had somewhere cool and spacious to return to after a day at the beach. Plenty of room for our family of four (mum, dad and two teenagers, 16/19), this was the best apartment we have had in recent years. Wonderful wifi (good for teenagers!) proper air conditioning, and the apartment's facilities and location was exactly as described on this site. The picture on this site actually is the view from the balcony (not always the case we have found in previous years!).
But what makes this apartment 5* is Anna. She is the perfect host, helping us to settle in, recommending restaurants, providing bus timetables etc, and being available to answer any questions we may have and make bookings for us if we needed her to. She made sure our holiday was the best it could be. Thank you Anna.
A water taxi to Amalfi was a lovely trip. La Terre is a fantastic restaurant to go to, as is Bruno. One thing to note, most of the main beach has loungers that you must pay for, (a strange idea for the British), and at 15euros per day it feels quite expensive. However, there is a 'free beach' if you don't mind laying your towel on the sand, which we did and this worked well for us.
Having fallen in love with Italy, we will be back. See you again Anna and your family, and thank you for everything.
