About Laurent Falalala

We are a family with 3 children who are passionate about the region.

Why Laurent Falalala chose Annecy - Lake Annecy area

We love the Annecy region, its lakes, its mountains, (Aravis & Bauges). We bought this house, along with our own nineteenth-century abode), and completely renovated it making a great hideaway in the heart of town, close to the lake and the mountains. We offer you a relaxing environment with plenty of activities.

What makes this house unique

Comfort abounds in the interior, on the terrace, on the balcony (where you can dine, read, etc.) of this house set in a peaceful neighbourhood with easy access to various activities on the mountain, the lake, or in the town.

Everything we hoped for

  • 5 of 5

This is a really lovely place to stay. The apartment is simply decorated and tasteful. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. A washing machine is available for use in the cellar. We loved the location. It was quiet and we enjoyed walking along the lakefront when we went into the old town. It is tucked under the mountain so there is a beautiful view of the woods from the small terrace. The great weather and spectacular autumn colours helped. The only problem was the WiFi which is available only near the door, and even then it was intermittent. But otherwise, no problems at all and highly recommended.

Cute flat in quiet residential location.

  • 4 of 5

We really liked this flat, it was very cosy and the owners have clearly put some thought into it. We didn't have great weather whilst we were there (it was winter, after all) but we had no problems going 'home' as it was a pleasure to spend time there. the views of the mountains around were lovely too.

The kitchen was brilliantly equipped and it all felt very new but also cosy.

There were only two drawbacks for us: the lack of a washing machine which is unusual in such a well-equipped flat (the owners let us do a wash in their house, though for an extra fee) and the location (quite a walk from the main 'old' town, especially for the kids). Having said that if you have a car it's a fine place to be, nicely close to the lake, but those without transport should bear in mind that the buses aren't frequent into the evening and the weekend. Luckily we were able to borrow the owner's bike a couple of times to get provisions, a nice gesture. If wifi is important to you bear in mind as well that it really only works well in the kitchen/dining room as the signal drops a bit in the living room since the router is in the owner's house next door.

Apart from that it would have been nice to have a little 'welcome package' at the start especially since we were arriving quite late and shopping wasn't an option. In other places where we've had this it's been really appreciated and is a small extra cost for the owners.

Overall a good place if you like a comfortable place to stay and being a bit out of the way doesn't bother you.
