Original and interesting house
A family of 4 (with 2 older children) we really enjoyed our stay in Vodo. The house is very quirky and original which we liked. There was a lovely south facing balcony which we used constantly rather than the garden which isn’t private or contained - a consideration with young children. The location is great in a lovely village with a Michelin star restaurant at the end of the street as well as a superb more everyday restaurant Alpina. There is a well across the road with fresh mountain water which was delicious. There’s a small supermarket in the village, a shop where they make fresh pasta, as well as a lovely farm shop both in walking distance. The kitchen was so authentic and I loved whipping up some Italian meals - it’s almost like a museum but had everything you could need, including spices and oils etc that were available for us to make use of. The layout worked well for us as there were 2 bedrooms each on 2 floors, both floors having its own bathroom. Our only criticism would be that our bed was not comfortable at all and so we didn’t sleep very well - the kids said their beds were ok.
