The house is a three stories newly built (2012) townhouse (contemporary Danish design) in a new area, belonging to downtown Copenhagen city area, but on the harbor-side. It is ideally located for exploring Copenhagen, Malmoe and Denmark in general. It has three bedrooms, one living room and a combined kitchen/dining room. It has a bathroom at the second floor and a guest toilet at ground floor. In addition, it has two large ground level terraces, one with morning sun and the other with afternoon sun. The house is fully equipped for small and teenage children alike, including toddler bed, toys and children high chair.
We are located in a quiet area very suitable for children as there are no dangerous roads in the vicinity. Our house is surrounded by green fields. We are 50 meters from the sea side and a charming small harbor, where you can go swimming - yes the waters are that clean! The area is a former historic military area that has now been renovated to host all the creative universities of Copenhagen such as the Academy of Architecture, the Design School and the national Music Conservatories. We are located 10 minutes from the national Opera house, which sits directly opposite the Queens Palace, 10- 20 minutes from downtown Copenhagen with all its shops and restaurants (using the harbor bus), 5 minutes walking distance from the worlds best restaurant Noma, the esteemed restaurant Amass (started by a former chef at restaurant Noma), the best waterside cafe in all of Copenhagen, La Banchina, the Lille Bakery and Copenhagen street food areas such as Reffen and Broens MadMarked. We are close to Amager Beach, the national aquatic museum and Christiania. In addition, you are only 20 minutes away from Malmoe in Sweden by train, and 7 hours directly to Berlin by train as well.
You can also rent a small electric driven boat by the hour to go sailing in the harbor area - you do not need any certificate to run these.
While our city code says city center, we are actually on the opposite side of the harbor, which is connected with bridges and harbor ferries. The house is walking distance to public transportation such as busses, metro, harbor (ferry)bus, and train - you can be in the City center in 10-30 minutes depending on you mode of transportation. In addition, we are located close to the airport - a short drive of 15-20 minutes with a taxi. Copenhagen is however perfect for bike riding, as there are special bike riding lanes along all roads. Bike rent is common and cheap. Do like the Danes and experience the city by bike!
