Fantastic apartment, well located in La Rochelle

We had a wonderful stay in this spacious, traditional French apartment right in the heart of the old town in La Rochelle. Very welcoming hosts who made us feel at home. Recommended.

Spacious, comfortable and great central location

Easy walking distance of the harbour, and a convenience store just on the corner. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Make sure you request a car park space in a local private car park in advance, as otherwise it is not easy to park locally. Note that you need to pay 7 Euros extra per person for bedding, and you need to clean the apartment to avoid paying an extra cleaning fee.

Appartement bien situé

L'appartement de Michel est très bien situé dans le centre historique de la Rochelle, une rue plus au calme du fourmillement de la cité avec tous ses avantages, proche du Vieux Port et tous les commerces, restaurants autour. Mention plus pour le petit Carrefour City au coin de la rue, la pharmacie, boulangeries et surtout le petit marché quotidien sur place...que du bonheur !!! Je dois toutefois signaler qqs inconvénients pour cet appartement. Le couchage n'est pas exactement ce qu'il y a d'indiqué sur l'annonce et je trouve regrettable que les propriétaires après notre discussion n'est pas immédiatement rectifié leur annonce, ce qui est très rapide à faire. Dans l'une des chambres vous n'aurez pas 2 grands lits mais plutôt de lits simples à rapprocher je pense pour un couple. Dans l'autre chambre j'ai l'impression qu'il s'agit plutôt d'un lit 140 et non d'un 150. De plus il est vrai que malgré l'espace confortable de l'appartement au niveau du salon pour le reste je ne dirais pas qu'il s'agisse d'un appartement au grand confort. La cuisine a effectivement besoin rapidement d'être refaite (usées et mal entretenue plus le ménage est à revoir surtout dans les recoins et autour de l'évier et entre les meubles). La partie autour de la plque de cuisson est toute collante ce qui est plutôt désagréable. Le placard sous la plaque de cuisson n'est pas aussi propre qu'il le devrait. Frigo trop petit pour 6. Certains ustensiles devraient être remplacés et pour d'autres j'ai dû les relaver. de manière générale l'appartement apparait au 1er coup d'oeil ok mais toutes les plintes et rebords avaient toujours une couche de poussière qui date sans aucun doute d'un certain temps et j'ai également dû passé un coup d'aspirateur. Enfn 2 aspirateurs à disposition. Tous les 2 très vieux et presque inutiles car pour l'un le manche se déboite sans arrêt et pour les 2 ils n'aspirent plus grand chose....sans parler de l'odeur pas très agréable. Oui pour la situation de l'appartement et son salon mais non pour l'état de l'appartment. Je pense également que les lits et literies conviennent certainement à des étudiants mais un peu juste pour des locations saisonnières car des gens qui dorment bien sont des gens satisfaits :) Je souhaite sincèrement que ces remarques aident aussi bien les propriétaires que les futurs voyageurs. Nous louons également 3 biens et sommes soucieux d'offrir un logement le plus agréable possible pour nos voyageurs.
