About this property

One of seven Cottages (one of which has disabled facilities), set in 100 acres of beautiful protected Breton countryside, stunning meadow bordered for 1km by the River Aven with a Trout Pond. Lots of wildlife and a truly peaceful place to relax and unwind in. Our closest market town, Rosporden is 2kms away and has all the amenities you should need.

We are in a rural location yet within a 15 mins easy drive of lots of sandy unspoilt beaches. Also are the historic towns of Pont Aven 10mins drive, Concarneau, 15 mins drive and Quimper 25 mins drive.
There is a climbing centre 5 mins drive from us, a adventure park with farm animals and a labyrinth just 7 mins drive away. These are just a few of the places to visit there are many more and we provide our Clients with a comprehensive guide in each cottage.

The cottages have recently been renovated to the highest standard. All offer panoramic views overlooking the Aven Valley.

Facilities include 36ft heated swimming pool which is fenced with a security gate. (Open end of May to end of September).
The cottages are set in 100 acres with a children's play area, meadow with trout lake and the river Aven, woods to explore and trees to climb. There are walks on the farm and there is a barn with a table tennis table and other games.

We keep chickens (fresh free range eggs), ducks and turkeys and also have bee hives where we produce our own honey. (The hives are kept away from the cottages so you wouldn't know they were there!)
Guests have the use of free bikes (one with a baby carrier and our closest Market town is only 2kms so you can cycle there to collect your fresh baguette and croissants in the morning. is a three storey Cottage - 3 bedrooms - sleeps 6 plus a baby.

The cottage is laid out over 3 levels
On the ground floor it is open plan with a lounge area that has two 3 seater sofas, coffee tables, a wood burning stove, satellite TV, DVD, HIFI and free WIFI
Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine and microwave, Tassimo coffee machine).
There is also a solid pine dining table with 6 chairs.

Minaouet - 3 bedrooms

On the second floor there is a Master bedroom with a double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and dressing table. There is also an en suite, (shower cabin, toilet and sink) and a small reading area on this floor.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms, both with 2 twin beds, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and dressing table or set of drawers.
There is also a family bathroom with a shower of a bath and a separate wc.

Highchairs, cots as well as other baby equipment available free of charge.
Fenced garden with patio, BBQ and garden furniture.

Minaouet has a fully fenced garden that has a gate (can be locked if required). There is a table and 6 chairs, along with a BBQ and a sun lounger.

Comfortable accommodation in a peaceful locatioon

Accommodation is on three floors in a converted farm building. Plenty of space, well equipped, and comfortably and attractively furnished. There is a reasonably-sized heated pool, and pleasant walks around the farm and through adjacent woodland. Very peaceful, despite being not far from the road, and only a mile or two from a town with all the necessary amenities. A short drive to several attractive towns and beaches. The owners were very welcoming, and always available for advice and help if necessary. Recommended for both families, and couples without children outside the school holidays.

November 2017 half-term stay at Keranmeriet Gites with Grandsons

We had a beautifully clean and very well appointed 3-bedroom, 3-storey cottage in the corner of the farm building complex. We arrived around 8pm, an hour or so later than planned after a slow drive from Cherbourg but were welcomed warmly by Erika. She introduced us to our cottage where the wood burner was already alight. The details of the arrangements for our stay were considerately left until later the following morning. The farm was not busy during our stay which meant that we were able to leave our car conveniently right outside the front door. We were able to come and go as we chose, and to be as independent as we wanted, knowing that Erika and Rob would be happy to help us with anything that we needed. Our short week was busy, and we realise that we were only able to scratch the surface of what was available to see and do in the area, and there was much exploring of the local area that we could have done. Our departure went equally smoothly. Our thanks to Erika and Rob for providing an ideal holiday destination, and congratulations on their amazing achievement.

Beautiful Accommodation in an outstanding location

We now try to spend all of our allotted holiday time in this beautiful place. It is heaven on earth for us. The owners, Rob and Erika Topping are very attentive and accommodating without being intrusive. The facilities provided are second to none! So much so that it has become a home from home for us and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when we are in our beloved Brittany. Outstanding accommodation at very reasonable prices :-)

A fantastic place to holiday

We've been holidaying at Keranmeriet for the last 9 years, soon to be 10. It's truly a beautiful place in every respect. The gites are located in the Brittany countryside and close to beaches, amenities and historic cities.The accommodation is of a very high standard with everything you'd need for a relaxing holiday, not forgetting the heated swimming pool for lazy days. The owners, Rob, Erika and family make you feel so welcome and couldn't be more helpful.

Rob and I decided to move to France to have a quieter life and also so we could spend more time with our son, who was 1 at the time. We visited the Farm in 2001 on a rainy day in January and fell in love with the buildings and the countryside straight away. If it looked this good in the winter imagine during the summer! We left the next day having bought the farm and have never looked back since. We now have 3 boys, some animals (!) and have settled well in to a lovely community.

Why they chose this property

We are located in the middle of beautiful countryside yet can cycle to the local town that has all the amenities we could ever need. It has easy access to the motorway and there are many historic places to visit within a short drive, 10 - 30 mins. We are just a 15 minute drive to many different beaches that are unspoilt and great for children, we love nothing better than picking our children up after school and heading off to the beach for a picnic. Throughout the year you can go out walking on the many coastal paths, that are equally stunning on a stormy winters day as on a sunny summers one. We have several properties of varying sizes to choose from, so great for families and large groups. As well as being close to the beach we also have a large heated Pool.

What makes this property unique

What's unique about our property, well I guess we are a little biased as we live here and love the area and the Breton people.... but we think that we have the perfect place as there is always something to do here, come rain or shine. We have lived here for 13 years now and never have a problem of finding something to do or somewhere to visit. There are not many places that have historic towns, amazing natural beaches, rivers, some of the best seafood in France landed locally every day, play parks and all on your doorstep. In addition our Cottages are set in the middle of our land, so you have a 100 acres of forest, meadow, river and fields to explore, while at the same time feeling secure that your children can explore as we did when we were their age. But don't take our word for it read the reviews on our website.
