Privacy and peaceful seclusion at Villa Vernazza close to 5 Terre in the Colline del Sole (Sun Hills Area) drinking Vermentino wine on pool side or on the huge terrace.
The pool recently renewed is really a dream!
Escape to a peaceful hideway in Ligurian nature comprising a 5 suites, plus one, property called Villa Vernazza under the historical Castelnuovo Tower.
This private luxury gateway features materials from the surrounding area on its architecture such as marble and woods.
Guests rave about the beautiful settings, which includes sea views terrace with bbq, olive trees meditation area, large swimming pool hidden in the bush..
There is lot to do in the area, as Sarzana is 10 minutes away; Cinque Terre, Marinella and Monte Marcello are also close by. Firenze, Lucca, Pisa, are all in about one hour driving range.
For wine lovers degustation tours are a must.
The house has also one room provided with television and reading room with books and newspapers. The Suites are 5 plus one, if needed otherwise the last one could be used asa second living room. The kitchen? Very large and, on request, you can have cooking classes. The swimming pool is surrounded by the woods and is available anytime, even at night, when you can swim and enjoy yourself in complete privacy and relaxation, observed only by the stars and moon. This mansion offers a quiet and ideal stay for those who want to have a few days of relaxation. Nevertheless, mountains for those who enjoy beautiful excursions and admire the view from above.
There is also the possibility to rent a boat and reach tiny secluded beaches where stay like paradise. Sarzana a La Spezia are really close and there you may find great shops and Restaurants,
The art cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence, with their historic centers will offer culture, art, shopping, nightclubs and restaurants as much as one likes. As you can see,this
is a geographic context for any type of family, couples or anyone who is willing to have a beautiful vacation. The Cinque Terre, the most popular and exclusive destination sought by tourists and beyond, are within easy reach with your own transport or public trans. Possible and very fresh also go there with the public boat from La Spezia. If you like you may also rent bikes or just go hiking discovering the hills through the many paths all around. Family chill time

The Villa was exactly as we expected only more so! Pia and Giovanni couldn't have been more welcoming and the Villa felt very homely and relaxing in its eclectic fabulous decor. We felt at home right away which was good as we were there for four weeks! We had family and friends stay at different times and all felt relaxed and enjoyed themselves either swimming in the huge lovely pool( which has a diving board) or doing basketball hoops or playing table tennis. There a masses of room so you don't feel on top of each other . Some of us did some sightseeing but the views and sunsets from the villa whilst having a barbecue or taking advantage of the chef and cooking lessons created some fabulous memories. Our hosts and concierge , Khalifa, were brilliant and answered any queries very quickly. I can't recommend highly enough !

A stunning villa inside and out that is perfect for families or a few friends.

I booked this beautiful villa to celebrate my Birthday with friends & family. 10 of us plus my 2 year old grandaughter. The hosts - Giuseppe and Pia booked a local Restaurant for us prior to our trip and the evening of our first day there we hired their Chef to cook for us at the villa, which was just perfect. We didn't hire any cars so it was really helpful that the Concierge drove us to the local supermarket to stock up with supplies and also to & from the local train station- Sarzana on a few occasions. We spent one day relaxing by the pool which was perfect. The location is remote but less than 10 min drive to Sarzana. Taxi @€20 and Taxi to La Spezia @€40/€50. Stunning views and lovely walks locally. Can't wait to go back!!!

A dream holiday home

Whenever one visits a beautiful home one can admire its setting, its decor, furniture, ornaments etc but to be given the keys is something extra special and was very much appreciated by all nine of us. The moment one arrives the spectacular views across the valley intoxicate and breakfasts and morning coffee take on a whole new meaning with such a view. The living areas are many and spacious with room for all the family to spread out and even take a break from each other if needed. The spectacular master bedroom could come from a luxury bedroom magazine and the other rooms, although with less spectacular views, are delightfully different and very homely. With ensuite bathrooms and aircon in each bedroom we were more than happy and the pool was just the touch of luxury we all needed for this family break. The villa is obviously a home for Pia and Franco who couldn’t have done more to make our stay a success. From the comprehensive welcome and tour of the house to help either in person or via WhatsApp they were the ideal hosts. A few helpful suggestions: Franco is happy to take a cheque for the damage deposit so take one with you to save using all your cash. This is a villa that needs a car. Although there is the availability of an 8 seat taxi we were charged €60 for the ten minute drive from the station which we felt was exorbitant and put us off using the taxi again. Take a train. The Italian train system is easy to navigate (English instructions and announcements abound) and is really good value compared to British Rail and there is a FREE car park at Sarzana station. We loved this villa and we would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Thank you Pia and Franco!

We had a great fortnight . The villa was excellent and Pia and Franco were wonderful hosts .

Great location , wonderful views and the villa worked really well ( we had 10 in our party) . You will need a car but easy access to beaches , Lucca and Sarzana ( which is a really lively /interesting) town .

Horrible stay

We are lucky to have stayed at many Italian Villas and this is the first one we regret renting. Don't want to be petty and negative however we paid a high summer price for this Villa and need to warn others of its shortcomings. * very steep road and driveway access * the advertised views from every room not true. The main bedroom has a great view and bathroom, the others all have ensuites but do not have a view. * The house has no coolng and it was very hot. The owners explained it away by saying that week in July was the hottest of the season (really? August not hotter??) * we requested fans, 3 were delivered next day in the boxes for us to assemble. Without them the bedrooms would not have been bareable. 2 bedrooms are upstairs under the roof line so were very hot, ours had no cross ventilation so fan was the only solution- * when we arrived we complained of a sewer smell and showers which didn't drain properly , a plumber was dispatched (with no tools) and said it was a septic sewer problem. * by the Wednesday there was bubbling brown water coming from our shower drain and the smell was so bad it drove us out of our bedroom and we slept on the lounge. * The septic pump-out men were dispatched on the Thursday. We had to let them in (cutting our daytrip short) help them locate the septic tanks and assist them in the pump out. The smell was disgusting and lingered for about an hour. I do not think your paying guests should be asked to do this sort of task. Apologies and particularly excuses were plentiful from the owners however the fact remains that the septic tanks should have been emptied before we arrived, not during our stay. * The pool is adequate for a 10 person property but the water level was too low so it didn't filter properly so we were swimming amongst bugs and floating leaves. * Crockery was mismatched and there were not enough matching glassware for 10 people * Internet access poor * to top it all off we were initially overcharged for cleaning fee. On the positive side the terrace at the front provided a great view of the valley and the lights at night were beautiful. the proximity to Sarzana railway station makes it convenient to get to Cinque Terre.

This wonderful house is a family house from about 25 years as we bought it as our holidays retreat. As a matter of fact is such a magic place that nobody can leave without regrets and the promise to be back soon.
Just beside the villa, is an antique pathway ,through the wood, that leads upto the charming village of Castelnuovo. Magra. For the more adventurous, the pathway leads to other panoramic pathways.
