Lovely situation but beware of weddings

The pigeonier was delightful, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The garden is huge and interesting. Pool, although not heated, was an excellent addition which we enjoyed and was well kept. HOWEVER, we were not informed about a wedding which took place over two days of our stay and surrounded the pigeonier entirely such that we could not escape from it (the wedding family were lovely and very sympathetic thankfully). This is not a one off as the owners regularly let the venue for weddings. Cannot recommend the venue for dog owners as the garden is entirely open (apart from the pool) and we had to keep our dog under surveillance or tied up the whole time. Also note that the owner no longer grows or sells wine. Directions: follow signs for Chateau La Tour Plantade in the hamlet of Soucarie just north west of Labastide de Levis.

C’est raté pour roucouler paisiblement 😔

Nous sommes globalement déçus du séjour. Certes c’est un endroit calme avec une piscine sympa mais confronté à un nid de guêpes dans le linteau de la fenêtre de chambre, la fête a été gâchée !! Arrivés le samedi intervention le lundi et impossible de dormir dans le pigeonnier. Pas de clim donc obligé d’être relogé dans une chambre d’amis des propriétaires. Les rafraîchisseurs d’air promis ne sont jamais arrivés dans cette semaine caniculaire. Nettoyage fait partiellement et gros doute sur les règles de désinfection COVID. La terrasse en bois n’est pas entretenue. Quel dommage et si toute critique n’est pas agréable à entendre, c’est dans le but D’éviter d’autre déception et de produire une réaction des propriétaires correspondant à la prestation décrite sur les photos. Cet endroit pourrait vraiment être magnifique.
