Newly refurbished one bedroom apartment in the lovely village of Capestang on the Canal du Midi and the road from Carcassonne to Beziers. Comfortable and convenient providing the perfect inexpensive base for the South of France house-hunter or for exploring and enjoying this beautiful area.

Capestang and has easy access to airports at Beziers (30 mins - Ryan Air), Perpignon, Carcassone and Montpellier (1 hr) and 2 hours from Barcelona, Nimes and Toulouse and is midway between the TGV access points of Narbonne and Beziers (20 min). Narbonne is also a terminal for the car-train from the north.

Because of the convenient location, the flat offers a perfect self-catering H.Q. from which to explore the southern Langedoc at great prices.

The flat has a washing machine and dryer, a TV with UK free to air and French terrestrial, wifi and a kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric hob, oven and microwave/grill.

Bedding and towels are all included in the price along with electricity and water (a mid-term changeover for stays longer than one week can be arranged in advance if required) and there's a hairdryer in the bathroom.

Maximum rental period of three weeks applies but may be extended by prior arrangement.

Great Place!

We were looking around the area with a view to purchasing a property this year. For us, it was the ideal location on the edge of the village with plenty of amenities within a short walk. The apartment has everything you need, it was clean & tidy, even had English TV. Although we were situated on a main road, we weren't disturbed by traffic, day or night. We were lucky to meet Kevin, one of the owners, who was extremely helpful & knowledgeable about the region. If you need a base in the area, then this is a good place to stay.

Capestang, in the wonderful wine producing and historic region of the Cathars, offers everything the potential Languedoc resident or the 'I just need a change of scenery for a week-er' could possibly want. With restaurants serving everything from Pizza to Haute Cuisine and all levels in between, three bars with colourful locals and the odd odd ex-pat, shopping in two full service supermarkets and local shops you'd expect to find in a French village plus a superb market in the square every Sunday morning plus, of course the magnificent and historic Canal Du Midi. The ideal spot from which to venture out on the hunt for your perfect property in France - or just to visit one of the many stunning beaches a few minutes away in the car. Something for everyone.

Security deposit is refundable after examination of apartment and an assessment of damage by owner or the owner's appointed representative. Please note. Long lets (maximum one month renewable) security deposit is one week's rent.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
