Gianni was exceptionally kind and helpful and it was wonderful to have little things like toilet rolls and water already there.
The location was very peaceful and felt safe, obviously it’s not in the centre of things but it was very close to two waterbus stops which made things easy, and the railway station wasn’t far either. All of which meant the dreaded lugging around of cases enroute to and from the airport was pretty easy. Gianni gave us excellent directions and advice on this.
The apartment itself was exceptionally clean and well kept and had a lovely feel to it with all Gianni’s amazing photos.
The second double bed was on a mezzanine floor which wasn’t very high, so you couldn’t stand up in it, but good for kids. The sofa bed was easy to use and pretty comfy. The whole apartment was amazing value.
There were two lovely streets with restaurants running parallel to the street where the apartment is, good for evening meals when you don’t want to stray far, I particularly liked Il Paradiso Perduto (amazing seafood) and Tre Archi, both were easy walks. The former you needed to book but we walked in and booked for the following evening.
Would highly recommend Gianni’s place! There were four of us and it didn’t feel like a squash. An amazing stay in wonderful Venice - thank you Gianni!
