Wonderful experience!

  • 5 of 5

Peter is a wonderful captain with a detailed knowledge of the Grenatines islands and was able to fit in 6 days what usually takes 7/10 days without making us feeling overwhelmed. We met him and his power boat (very large and comfortable), in St. Vincent and spent the first 2 days hopping from island to island fitting in an exceptional lunch in Mustique. On those nights we slept in hotels being our first time on a journey on a boat and not sure how we would have felt about sleeping on board (it was my husband and I and our 16 years old daugher). Peter was the one who reccomanded to split the trip using his power boat first and then change into his sailing boat (Kalimba), and sleep on board for 1 night while in Tobago Keys and then on land the other nights. That idea was brilliant as we were able to move fast on the first couple of days and then had the chance to experience sailing long enough to appreciate it without getting tired of being on board. We went from Kalimba II (power boat), to Kalimba which is a 45 feet long beautiful sail boat with 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms, very comfortable even when the wind is strong. Peter pretty much designed our itinerary knowing what we were interested in seeing bringing us to the different islands when events were going on and brought us to the local best snorkeling places almost every day. Our perfect journey ended in Curracau where we said goodbye to Peter and Kalimba feeling that we couldn't have had a more fulfilling experience. We never felt unsafe nor wished we knew more about sailing as Peter managed both boats completely on his own and didn't need any help. He is a lovely person with a passion for the ocean who has traveled all over the world and has an extensive knowledge of the winds and all the rules on water. Absolutely would reccomand him and his Kalimbas. See you next year Peter!
