My family and I had a very nice time in this very comfortable home in a great location.

My family and I had a very nice time in this very comfortable home in a very pretty rural location. The converted barn is great; very modern and clean. It was the ideal setting for us with easy access to Coventry. Susan is a very welcoming and helpful host with good communication.

Highly recommended.

Tranquil setting

  • 5 of 5

Property is clean and well appointed. View over the duck pond and beyond is very pleasant. Only negative was the speed and reliability of the internet but that is apparently associated with the location. A price you have to pay for being in the countryside.

Great base for our family of four's 3-night stay

  • 5 of 5

Duck Pond Barn was a fabulous place for us and our two young boys to stay while exploring the Midlands. Felt very rural, despite being so well connected to major roads.

After a day at Thomas Land and Drayton Manor (about 50mins drive away), we were given a warm welcome when arriving at the farm, and were pleased to find a lovely welcome pack (mini cereal boxes, tea bags, biscuits and milk in the fridge) waiting for us too.

We all (especially the boys!) enjoyed seeing ducks and moorhens on the pond out of one door and cows out of the other door.

Kitchen was well equipped. Bedrooms roomy with good clothes storage, hairdryers, TVs, etc. (and a selection of kids' games too!). Bathroom is a wet room, which was fine for our 5 year old who was happy to use the shower, but we simply brought along a small inflatable paddling pool to fill in the shower area for the 3-y-o to bath in! Shampoo, conditioner and showergel all provided too.

We also visited the Space Museum in Leicester (about an hour away to the NE), friends in Burton/Repton (about an hour away to the North) and, nearby, the Ryton Pools Country Park was a lovely place to explore (about 5-10 minutes drive away).

"I want to stay at the holiday house for ever!" said the 3-year-old - not a bad review!

Thanks for a lovely stay

Excellent accommodation and location

  • 5 of 5

Accommodation had everything you need. Susan and Phillip on hand if there are any questions. The inside was great for my elderly parents (no steps). The outside is well planned with gravel area behind the barn to park. Loved the animals, both wild and tame. Dogs - Poppy (lab) and Bonnie (pup scottie). pet ducks, masses of small birds, several times saw birds of prey, bats, the local cows and calves, and 4 deer.

Barn very local for lots of interesting towns within 30 mins (Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford upon Avon, Kenilworth etc) and activities.

Supermarket 10 mins up the road (by car of course)

brilliant - will come again
