About this property

A home in a peaceful heaven 15 min away from the Grand Place

Maison Clémentine welcomes you to a ground floor apartment with a garden and terrace. It is bright and spacious, equipped with all comforts and a stylish decor. It is located in a house dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. The house has been completely renovated by an architect. This has favoured the conservation of several original features in order to respect the character of the house. The walls separating the rooms were removed to have a large space in one room, offering a loft-style, with large bay windows overlooking the garden. It is located in a peaceful haven, close to university campuses (ULB, VUB, Boston University, Kent University), the European School, restaurants, brasseries, caterers, a hypermarket: organic and classic supermarkets, and all services. It is a five-minute walk from two metro stations and bus stops (Hankar and Delta metro stations, and buses 34, 71, 72). It is four metro stations away from EU institutions and the Cinquantenaire Museum, as well as 15 minutes away from the city centre (Grand-Place, museums, the Royal Palace, Manneken-Pis, and much more). The Ring (ring road) and the road network to all local and European destinations are 5 min away. There is a closed and secured parking space in another building, a 4 minute-walk away. It will be available upon reservation and a small charge of €5 per day. Parking on the street is both possible and regulated (Mandatory blue zones). We give preference to the comfort of our guests. That is why the apartment has a bedroom with a 160x200-cm bed and a living room with a 90x200-cm bed for a third person (adult, child, or adolescent). We also offer a cot for a 3-year-old baby, with a 60x120-cm mattress and a high chair. Bed linen and bathroom linen are provided. There is no extra fee for cleaning services. Do not hesitate to ask for a period longer than a month.

Fantastic property and excellent hosts
The apartment is located in a suburb of Brussels approx 5 min walk from the nearest Metro. The apartment consists mostly of one room, separated into different areas for sleeping, eating etc. It is extremely well equipped and furnished. There's a very pleasant terrace out the back. The hosts, Alain and Alexandra are highly recommended. They left a generous supply of provisions for our arrival - milk, bread, cake, coffee, home made jam. On the first day Alain took us out in his car for a drive to show us round the local area. Information prior to arrival on email was helpful and friendly. It's impossible to think of anything negative to write about this host / apartment. The only thing people should be aware of is you can hear the Metro trains which run into the late evening - it wasn't a problem for us but if you are sensitive to noise it is worth being aware of. After a few days we didn't notice any more.

Very comfortable, very convenient, very clean- & very classy!
We spent a happy month in this apartment, and found it to be sparkling clean and full of home comforts, with everything you could wish for in a holiday apartment. It's very well equipped and to a very high standard. There are lots of thoughtful touches to make it a 'home from home' . There are good shops nearby, a great weekly street market plus a metro station and bus stop within a few minutes walk. Thanks a million Alain & Alexandra!

Brilliant
We have experienced self-catering in many different places, and this has been the best ever. Good location, friendly and helpful welcome from Alain. Well equipped (and well stocked!) apartment. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

Short Brussels Stay
We had a lovely stay at Alain’s apartment. It was easy to find, with clear instructions provided to us before leaving home, on how to locate the property. It was very close to the city using public transport. While our stay was short, as we were on our final few days of the holiday, the ability to come home, relax and look out on a lovely cottage style garden was great. The apartment was so well set up with provisions. Alain had ideas for sightseeing, and then took us on a drive through the local area pointing out where we could buy provisions for our personal needs. This made settling in much easier. As host, Alain went beyond what one would expect, even so far as taking us to the airport as he had some time and knew this would help us out. That showed the degree of helpfulness Alain showed to us as guests. We would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for an easy location to see Brussels and travel to more out of town venues.

Lovely apartment, clean , spacious and warm - it was February
Our host, Alain, was very welcoming and helped us have a good stay in Brussels. The apartment was stocked with everything we needed to have breakfast and we were introduced to the local area. We enjoyed having the flexibility of suiting ourselves and exploring Brussels in our own time. Great place to stay. Very easy to travel to the centre and to navigate round the area on public transport. Good cake shop locally too.

Why they chose this property

Brussels is an international city/region, open to the world and very welcoming. The European Commission headquarters are located there, as well as the European Parliament and NATO headquarters. Besides the embassies and consulates from all over the world, many European Regional Representations and international groups have offices there. This means that restaurants, offering a very diverse cuisine, compete in expertise and quality for demanding customers. Museums are numerous and the history of the city is a thousand years old. Brussels remains a medium-sized city within walking distance and with public transportation. It is composed of 19 communes, which have a centre around the Municipal House and all interests (restaurants, markets, large shops, churches, schools, pools, sports centres, and much more). In the large communes of the same model, there are many districts, squares, markets, and much more. That is why you can find the atmosphere of a village, a street square, an avenue, and a place recalling the past. Many houses are old and have a particular style. They are highly appreciated. Visitors or people who have moved, love Brussels. We are sure you will be part of them.
