Newly refurbished 4 bedroom bungalow on the outskirts of Rock.Modern open plan living area with log burner island dining area seats 8. 3 double bedrooms, one with ensuite one bunk room ,large grassy garden with fence making it child and dog proof with shady seating under trees looking out over open fields, 5 minutes walk to Pityme pub, 15 minutes walk on footpath to golf club and spa at the Point.5 minutes by car to Rock beach and ferry to Padstow.

About Derek Allen

I have worked in Gloucester as a dentist for the last 30 years and have been coming to Rock for holidays for even longer .My parents brought me to Cornwall for holidays and I have had many holidays here with my own children who are now grown up and left home

Lovely bungalow in a great location

Just got back from a lovely weeks holiday lovely clean bungalow in a great location for getting around the local area pub within 5 mins walk lovely 45 min walk to Polzeath communication with Derek the owner was excellent.

Lovely bungalow

Very nice bungalow that has been tastefully decorated, providing everything you would need. Ideal location not too far from local shops or the beach at Rock. The only criticism is having to pay extra for bed linen which we felt should have been included in the price. We only stayed for two nights but would definitely consider a return visit.

Good house, well located

Derek's efficient with the bookings and answered all questions. Nice house in convenient location. Securely fenced garden re dog. Nice decor in kitchen diner living room. Feels like a home not a rental property. Many upsides. Only downsides.... Whilst master bed extremely comfortable and big, double en suite not so comfortable .. Think it needs a cushy mattress topper (not a big issue for us as only used once to sleep near a child), bunk room is located immediately off sitting area re evening noise/children, no storage for buggies/kit seemed available (there is a garage though and perhaps we just needed to ask for access but assumed it was for the owners kit and didn't get round to it..), only dining table is the large and stylish island - great for adults, slightly awkward with small children re height.

But very many thanks, we had a good week.

Cosy and super location

We stayed at the lovely bungalow for a week in the beginning of August. The place was clean, cosy and artistically decorated. The garden was well maintained and our 7 years old boys could happily play in the grass while we were cooking in the kitchen overlooking them. The best part of the choosing this place is its superb location which is 1 minute drive to the local supermarket, bakery and butcher shop, 5 minutes drive to the Rock beach, 7 minutes drive to Daymer Bay beach. We love both beaches. We also went to Tintagel for a day trip which was about 40 minutes drive and is a mustsee. The view on the top of the ruined castle was magnificent.

It was one of the best trips we had. Thanks Derek for a great host who always respond with promptness.

We are really happy about our decision to choose to stay around Rock and not Padstow as a family, simply because it's not as crowded as in Padstow.

Would love to go back in the future.

Lovely bungalow with all amenities needed.

Had a lovely week at the bungalow, Rock / Padstow are beautiful areas.

King size bed was very comfortable and room very spacious

Kitchen/dining area beautifully decorated loved it.

We had to fight for a seat on the sofas as there was 7 of us so a bit tight

BBQ Very dirty when we went to use it

Weather on and off but we still had a great time

Yes I would recommend your bungalow to others of which I already have

Thank you for letting us stay there

ps journey took 10 hours to get back to Kent, traffic was a nightmare!

Great rental - spacious with good facilities

Spacious accommodation. Great to have internet, tumble dryer especially - as you can't rely on Cornish weather!

Could have done with more hooks and coat hangers in 3 of the bedrooms.

I knew the house was outside Rock but worth pointing out you do need a car /bikes to get around as there's only a pub you can walk to.
