The villa was perfect for our family holiday! Beautiful views across Split and out to sea. Pool was fantastic for the kids and villa was fully equipped with everything we needed. Ana was the perfect host and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. We had fantastic communication from start to finish. Thank you so much!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the villa is great

  • 5 of 5

Ana was a great host, when we got to the villa there was food and beer in the fridge. She also gave us a lift to the local supermarket to stock up on supplies. The villa is located in the hills but it was easy enough to get around with Uber. Really enjoyed our 4 days and I’m sure we’ll be back.

Perfect for everyone!

  • 5 of 5

Ana and her husband were amazing hosts! We had a group of 10 people and the villa was perfect for such a large group. upon arrival Ana was nice enough to have prepared some delicious snacks for our whole group, which was perfect after a long flight. We stayed here for 5 nights in June and July and the weather was perfect, even with the awesome thunder storm that rolled in during one of the days. The view from the villa is incredible day or night and makes for some beautiful pictures. I would recommend this villa to anyone looking for an upscale place in the Split area.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

We were at this beautiful villa for five nights in June 2017. We had an amazing time. It has a lovely setting in the hills. Although a car would be good, we didn't and managed fine with hiring drivers for a small price. Petar and Ana made our stay with helping us to arrange many trips, caterers and massages. Would definitely come back again.

Perfect villa with amazing view

  • 5 of 5

A group of of us stayed here for a week in early October. The villa was very spacious, clean and had an amazing view overlooking the city. It is quite high up in the hills in a local neighbourhood, but there are a few local convenience shops and it is very easy and quick to get into split (Bus or uber 20 mins). We were unlucky with the weather on a few days, but there are plenty of things to do in and around the city if the weather takes a turn (and there's lots of bars and clubs to try in the evenings). We visited krka waterfalls which was a very unique and unforgettable day trip. Not forgetting Ana (Petars wife), who was a wonderful host and couldn't have done anything more to help us have a great holiday.

Beautiful Villa with Perfect views on Split 😍

  • 5 of 5

thank you very much ana for the great time.

The walk to the villa was a bit adventurous, but the view of split is just gorgeous. The location of the villa is perfect.

When the sun goes down and the lights in the city approach, you just enjoy the sight. Thanks also to ivana who helped us with the shopping. the hospitality is very commendable.

The villa is exactly as in the pictures. nice large pool, a lot of space around, in the kitchen everything available ... it was a great short break. Everyone was happy and satisfied and enjoyed their time with you.

Many thanks for that and all the best for you.

Best regards

Norman

The villa is located in the small town Solin, well known for its historical discoveries and rich Mediterranean culture. As a new tourist destination at the mouth of river Jadro, Solin represents unique oasis and draws attention with its astonishing natural beauties.

Conveniently located just a few minutes from ancient city of Split and the famous Diocletian’s Palace, villa modern design, great comfort and above all exceptional and attentive staff will make your stay at the villa unforgettable.

Few words about location and area:

Split is busy city that it remains one of the Adriatic's most vibrant port cities stunningly located between mountains and sea. As the economic and cultural center of the Dalmatian coast Split is bustling with islanders who flock into the city to work even as ferries whisk tourists out to the islands.

It was the Romans who put Split on the map with the building of Diocletian's Palace, the sprawling 4th century residence that now encloses a welter of Roman ruins within its walls. It's fascinating to wander the cobblestones streets within the palace where fashionable boutiques and trendy clubs alternate with crumbling pillars and medieval churches. Stroll the harbormaster promenade or people-watch from one of its cafes.

Climb up woodsy Marjan hill for great views over the city or plunge into the sparkling waters from one of Split's beaches. There are so many sights to see and so many day trips from Split; the nightlife and restaurants offer such quality and variety it's impossible to be bored.

Few were the empires that did not put their mark on Split. First came the Greeks although little remains of their tiny settlement. The Romans were much more proactive, expanding the settlement until Emperor Diocletian built his retirement palace here in the third century. Diocletian's Palace is more like a walled town and it has endured as the center of Split's cultural and political life even as the Byzantines, Croatian kings, Venetians, Austrians and Italians planted their flag on the great city. Relaxed and informal, Split residents are less interested in high culture than they are in sports and the outdoors.

What to See

Tour Split

Diocletian's Palace and the medieval quarter to the west contain most of Split's museums and galleries. Diocletian's Palace is not only a historical discovery but it also contains Split's most interesting shops, bars, restaurants and cafe. Enter through the basement halls on the on the seaside and mount the massive steps to the heart of the Palace where you'll be impressed by the towering cathedral and an assortment of Roman monuments. To the west and north of the Palace walls lies medieval Split and the Veli Varos neighborhood which developed from the 14th to the 17th centuries. We recommend to visit Galerija 'Morska' in Split center for traditional souvenirs and art paintings with affordable prices.

Take a stroll on Split's seaside promenade and have a leisurely coffee in one of the cafes. Rent a bike at the foot of Marjan hill and bike around the coast, exploring the beaches. Explore the Bacvice neighborhood to the east of the Old Town where there are beaches and nightlife. Wrap up the day at a bar, or dance the night away in one of Split's throbbing, super-fashionable discos. Besides the sightseeing in Split, the town makes an excellent base for exploring the wonders of Split-Dalmatia county not to mention the many islands that lie just offshore. From Split, you can easily visit Solta and Brac by ferry all year round. In the summer, it's possible to make a day trip to Hvar via catamaran. Other day trips from Split include Solin, Omis, Trogir, Brela Beach, Baska Voda and Makarska, each less than an hour away by car. See more on tours & excursions from Split. Raw and boisterous, yet with heaps of Mediterranean style, Split is not the place to settle in and chill. Ferries, trains and buses are constantly chugging in and out of the ferry-train-bus stations which combine to form a giant transport hub just east of Diocletian's Palace. Stay near the town centre. The dreary neighbourhoods that stretch north of town aren't dangerous but they sure aren't pretty. In deciding where to stay, decide whether your interests are beach, cultural or club-hopping.
