About the property

Gorgeous I bedroomed converted windmill holiday home in central Woodbridge

Trickers Mill is a 5 storey Grade 2 listed Tower Windmill with its own private courtyard located in the heart of Woodbridge close to the Market Square.

The ground and first floors have been converted to provide fabulous accommodation for two people. Downstairs there is an entrance hall leading to a cloakroom and then through to the open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, fan oven, fridge and microwave) there is a dining table and three seater sofa. A smart TV and electric woodburner too. Central heating throughout. From the entrance hall there is a circular staircase to the first floor where there is a bathroom with shower over the bath. The bedroom next door has a superking zip-linked bed. ( If you require twin beds please let us know when booking) there is a dressing table and stool an arm chair and bedside tables. From the bedroom there is a staircase and trapdoor to the upper levels where stunning views over the roof tops of Woodbridge and the river Deben can be enjoyed. This part of the windmill is a step back in time and is as it was 200 years ago. Care needs to be taken as the stairs are steep and some machinery is at head height. The mill is set in a quiet residential area. We have a small garage close to the Mill which is suitable for a small car. If you have a larger car there is roadside parking and a public car park within 100 metres. The Mill is just minutes from the Market Square where there are numerous boutique shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. A further stroll down the hill brings you

to the bustling Thoroughfare with a further variety of shops, eateries and bars. Walks along the Deben river wall with views of the Tide Mill are also enchanting. There is lots to do and explore in the area. Sutton Hoo is just outside Woodbridge the Anglo Saxon Burial site. Within a short drive are Orford, Snape, Framlingham and the wonderful coast too.

Bright and clean and very comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

It was so quite and peaceful, the most noise coming from the singing birds which was just so lovely. Should we return to Woodbridge in the future this would definately be our first choice. We know Woodbridge quite well and there are plenty of eating establishments within easy walking distance. We don't drive, but if you do there is plenty to see and do. All in all a remarkable place and very comfortable. 5 stars plus from us ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ + 😀?

The best HomeAway stay we have had

  • 5 of 5

There is nothing to fault with this accommodation. Everything from the initial contact from Tessa, to the check out was of a top standard. The place was beautifully maintained, the decor of a high standard and the comfort level was fabulous. A raining Easter weekend had us indoors more than we wanted but because this is such a lovely place to stay it really wasn't too upsetting. The bed was huge and comfy and we had everything we needed, the heating made the place cosy and the shower was always hot and powerful. Woodbridge is a lovely town to be around too with lots to do and wonderful places to eat. I would highly recommend this lovely windmill and we will be coming back as we loved it so much.

Short stay- very pleasant!

  • 5 of 5

A fascinating property very close to the centre of Woodbridge and walking distance to nice restaurants and shops.

It is apparent how much care has been taken in the restoration of the building which retains lots of character whilst providing very comfortable accommodation.

Beautifully presented mill.

  • 5 of 5

Tastefully converted mill. Great location, a stone's throw away from two local pubs and many eating places. Woodbridge is a rare shopping experience with many independent shops. The mill provides a great location from which to explore. The mill was spotless and cosy. Hope to return.
