Seaside Chalet in Freshwater minutes drive to yarmouth, Isle of Wight

Seaside Bungalow

We have taken on board all of our reviews Good and Bad and we can proudly say that we have had some STUNNING brand new windows and a new front door fitted. We have also had some top spec composite cladding to finish off the front of the chalet. The bungalow really does look lovely now and best of all the windows keep it nice and warm.

The chalet is boasting sea views from all windows and one of the best locations on this private holiday park.To the rear of the chalet we have views of Hurse castle along with a playing field, pitch and putt 9 hole and fields for as far as the eye can see. The front over looks the needles and colwell bay,from the sitting room. The patio you have views of the famous Needles landmark. You can watch ships coming and going and see sunsets that take your breath away. Being in freshwater its only a short car journey where you will do your food shopping also find good pubs and nice take away outlets including fish & chips, chinese etc.The pretty historic port of Yarmouth is where the ferry comes in from Lymington and here you'll find a host of well known up market places to eat on a night out and get a chance to look at the amazing Boats and sun cruisers docked at the port . Nearer to home, and directly on the beach, are popular cafes and bars like “The Hut” and “The Waterfront” which have wonderful views, especially at sunset. There are books to read in the chalet and guides on the Isle of Wight, also plenty of games to play with, as well as TV with sky free view . We have 2 bedrooms one is a double and one has 2 single beds in it .There is also a comfy material sofa which folds out into a double bed. The bathroom is tiled from floor to ceiling with a shower over bath.Lounge/kitchen is open planned and tastefully decorated. We also have a table and chairs situated at the front window. So you and your love ones can share a bite to eat or a glass of wine and watch the fantastic views out the window.

Hi my name is wes and i run a company called WGS Kindling & Tree Services our services include all aspects of tree and hedge work , stump grinding , logs , kindling and coal. My partner Hollie i have been with for 12 years she is an accountant. We have to amazing children Isabelle who is 8 and Freddie who is 2. And we have a dog called Charlie who is 11. I myself have been coming to brambles for 33 years and my family and i own 3 properties on the site. Our bungalow holds a special place in all our hearts as its the first chalet my Grandad bought just after site was developed and the hub of our isle of wight holidays for many years. I hope that all guests will enjoy and appreciate the chalet and peaceful setting as much as we continue to.

Notes:
The isle of wight caters for all your needs weather you just want a quiet relaxed break or you are really active and want plenty to do. On site there is a little shop, laundarette ,crazy golf, tennis ,football and kids play park. You have the benefit of a beach right on your door step. with an array of pubs and restaurants. There are local super markets and a leisure complex down the road. So you can go swimming or use the gym. If you make the effort to see what the island has to offer you wont be let down. There are theme parks bowling alleys ice skating and even a famous zoo called tiger island based in sandown which was even part of a tv series on ITV. Clean and spacious with amazing views

The chalet has comfortable double and twin single beds with duvets and pillows but not bedding. The view from the bedrooms across the Solent to Hurst Castle are spectacular. The bathroom has an effective over-bath power shower. The kitchen is fully equipped to meet most needs. The lounge has a convertible bed-settee and a lounger chair, drop-leaf table and chairs, and wide screen tv. The lounge windows look across immaculate lawns to the Needles - another great view. The chalet was warm and draught-free even in storms - we didn't need the electric radiators supplied. Storage space in the chalet is limited by the owners' possessions. The Brambles Chine site is well maintained, has a staffed office, a small shop and a launderette, and is accessed down a rather rough unmade trackway. There is access to the sea down a steep path and steps. We would be happy to stay there again.

Lovely views, situated in a lovely quiet part of the island. Good value for money property, we would definitely like to come back to explore the island some more. Perfect for children or couples and the pitch and putt/crazy golf and play area areal.bonus

Practical and welcoming. Good layout, cleaned to an adequate standard.

Overall the property more than suited our needs. It was comfortable and provided a good base for us to explore the wonderful island especially the west coast, which in our opinion, is far more relaxing, rugged and less commercialised then other areas. Comfy sofa and chair, big screen tv, table and chairs, fitted kitchen with an array of utensils and lots of hot water all helped to make our stay more enjoyable; although I would recommend the owner buy some new saucepans ( we had to buy our own) as the only pans available were coated in rust. A working can opener and a towel rail that doesn't fall off the wall might be handy too! All in all, apart from a few little glitches, a comfortable holiday home.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. A little bit unhappy with the 3 stars but I take on board what you say about the tin opener it's not the best in the world lol. Will make sure I buy some new pots also. You mentioned you may come back next year please don't hesitate to contact me.

Welcoming modern chalet in great location

The chalet is modernised throughout and very well equipped - having sky tv was a nice bonus. Always plenty of hot water. We love the location as so close to the beach, plenty of space for the kids to play including a play park. Would happily return.

Beautiful location

Bramble Chine is a beautiful location, the scenery is fantastic. The site is quiet and safe. There is a shop on-site which stocks everything you could think of and not a rip off. There is laundered which does service washes.

The bungalow could do with new Windows and door, they really let it down. The owner assured me it's going to be done. The cleaning was very poor but the owner is looking into this also. If these two issues were sorted it would be a gem. However I would not return or recommended it if these were not addressed.

The owner is very helpful and prompt polite communication.

The nearest ferry port is Yarmouth but its just as easy from East Cowes to chalet

the bungalow is situated in freshwater and only a 5 minute drive to yarmouth, where you will find shops for your groceries fantastic pubs and restaurants.
