About the property

Fairview Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms

Welcome to Fairview Cottage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish Cotswold holiday rentals.

Please click More Details to read about the House Rules.

Fairview Cottage is a truly stunning Cotswold stone cottage, perfectly located in the heart of the peaceful, picturesque village of Longborough, two miles north of the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, and surrounded by the stunning countryside of the North Cotswolds. Longborough sits on the side of a hill, with lovely views over the Evenlode Valley and, despite being a small village, it is fortunate to have a pub, a village shop, cafe and a local farm shop. Many beautiful countryside walks can be accessed directly from the cottage, and it is ideally located for exploring the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds, as well as further afield places, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Bath.

The cottage has recently been fully refurbished by its owners, who have expertly combined contemporary style and furnishings with the cottage's traditional character, which includes original oak beams, exposed Cotswold stone walls and a beautiful inglenook fireplace, with a wood burning stove. The character of the cottage is complemented by its modern facilities, including wireless internet access, a curved TV and a well presented kitchen.

Fairview Cottage sleeps eight people, in four bedrooms, with three bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is in an annexe in the back garden, with its own bathroom. There is a lovely garden at the rear of the property and quiet on street parking is available outside or close to the cottage. Fairview Cottage is perfect for an extended family or for a group of friends looking for a relaxing break in a stunning cottage, in the heart of one the Cotswold's loveliest villages.

Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by one additional infant.

Pets

Regrettably, pets are not accepted.

Photographs

In order to provide you with as much detail of our properties as possible, we sometimes use wide angle photography, which can make certain rooms, or spaces, appear larger than they actually are. Wherever possible, we try to include a floorplan, with detailed dimensions of rooms and areas.

A delightful and well appointed property

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is in a picturesque small village, with easy access to lots of other beautiful villages. It suited our family of five with three young children and our friends in the annex (or Love Shack as we called it) extremely well. If anything it is better than what the pictures show and has lots of things for an indulgent escape, including kitchen equipment, maps of walking trails etc. Everything is basically new and it is well appointed.

Truly stunning!

  • 5 of 5

Fairview cottage is amazing. It has everything you could ever want for a wonderful experience. Longborough is a quaint village with a very friendly pub and shop just along the road. The cottage is beautifully set out and has lots of special touches to make your stay memorable. The decor is well thought out and of quality standard. Our family loved the garden which had a great lawn for the children, a lovely patio and BBQ.

We visited the Cotswold Wildlife Park which was fabulous and also stunning bourton on the water. Overall we had a wonderful long weekend break and didnt want to leave!!

Recommended 100% and thank you :-)

Easy access (with car) to many lovely villages. Very thoughtful welcome basket and excellent written local guide. Many thanks. Highly recommend.
