Splendore su Capri is an elegant villa of 160 square meters on two floors .It can accommodate up to eight people, is located at the end of the Sorrento peninsula and has one of the most dramatic and breathtaking views across the bay of Naples and the isle of Capri. In the town of Massa Lubrense, this place is in a little corner of paradise away from the bustle of the city. There isn't a point that doesn't offer a panoramic view.
The owners of the villa live in an apartment on the ground floor and are very respectful of the privacy of their guests, but if they need anything they are always available and happy to help.
"Splendore" is the ideal place for those who want to spend a holiday in total relaxation, away from the city noise. The villa is located in Massa Lubrense, the last town on the Sorrento Peninsula, a very quiet place but has a strategic position because from here it is easy to get to places of interest such as Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Ischia.
The villa offers guests free use of outdoor parking for a maximum of two cars.
To reach the first entrance of the villa, from the parking area, just walk 10 steps, the first floor has a master bedroom with TV and air conditioning and a window that offers a magnificent view of the coast and the island of Capri, a shower room, a sitting room / kitchen equipped with everything you need.; Also this room offers the same breathtaking view of the beautiful island.
From the first floor you can access the second floor via an internal staircase. If you want to access from the parking area to the second entrance to the villa (the main one) you need to take 17 small steps that are surrounded by olive trees and plants characteristic of this part of Italy.
Before entering you will find a beautiful terrace, overlooking the Sorrento coast, equipped with sofas, rocking chairs and barbecue. In front of the terrace you can enjoy a green relaxation area with a hammock, ideal for reading a book in peace.
Entering the main entrance of the villa you will be amazed by the beauty of the structure and the view it offers, thanks to its location. The second floor has two bathrooms with a shower, three double bedrooms with television and air conditioning. Both the master bedroom and the kitchen open onto a spacious terrace equipped with sofas, recliner and a large table and chairs perfect for a candlelit dinner or a lunch during the hot sunny days while over looking the bay.
Continuing up another 14 steps to the "gem" of the villa, the pool area(open from May to September - depending on the weather). The pool area has a large equipped solarium with sun beds, outdoor swimming pool and a shower. No doubt it is the most scenic spot ever and the most relaxing, given the wide panoramic view of the sea and the Gulf of Naples, but also the flourishing vegetation typical of the area (lemon, olive trees ..) that characterizes the property. Why not lie on the couch to relax and listen to the sound of the sea that is not far away. This apartment will exceed your expectations of a relaxing holiday.

PLEASE NOTE THAT:
- Final cleaning which costs € 150,00 has to be paid in cash on arrival day.
- Should you want an extra cleaning, this is an extra cost and you can request for it upon arrival or during your stay.
- On request, you can also have, included in the price, a cot and a high chair for babies for all the duration of your stay.
- The use of the villa is exclusively reserved for guests staying at "Splendore".
- City tax is 2€ per person per night.

Vacation of a Lifetime

Our stay in Massa Lubrense could not have been more perfect. Daniela was involved in all of our planning and every recommendation she made was wonderful. We used her trusted driver, Lucio, for every day trip and he was punctual and friendly. Daniela recommended day trips such as boat tours to Capri, Clear bottom kayaks, beach clubs, restaurants, etc. Every plan worked out without a hitch. On evenings we wanted to stay in she sent us menus and helped with take-out orders. We also enjoyed the meal cooked by Daniela's mother on our deck overlooking the island of Capri. The villa itself was spotless and beautiful: pristine bathrooms and kitchen, comfortable beds, and the pool was great at the end of our busy days. The views were breathtaking. Magnificent. All around us at the villa were olive and lemon trees. It felt like a fairy tale. I can't say enough that Daniela was available for us from start to finish on our trip. We felt like we were leaving friends at the end of the week. Thank you, Daniela. Thank you, Lucio!

absolutely brilliant stay, in a wonderful villa, hosted by a beautiful family

We booked this villa for family and relatives because my son and his fiancé were getting married in Sorrento. We booked it one year before we came this year in July. As soon as it was booked, Olimpia emailed us to offer her assistance in making our stay a wonderful family event, and this communication continued up to our arrival. In the end, she organised a wedding brunch for 11, a pizza party for 26, and transport on two nights between Massa Lubrense and Sorrento. I thought the fee for booking the mini bus each way was okay, until the best man took a taxi to the villa from Sorrento and was charged €90 one way - then the mini bus charge seemed like an absolute steal as we moved 20 people on 2 trips, and 11 on another 2. She also organised a boat trip around Capri for us, and sorted out our parking ticket Between her and her extended family ( her father, Orlando, the pizza chef; her mother, Jasmine, the baker, maker of lemoncello and olive oil; her sister, Valeria, the archaeologist; the family friend Gadieta and her son, and Lucio, her boyfriend who organised the mini buses) made the stay at the villa absolutely amazing . The villa verandah has the most amazing view overlooking Capri. We sat out every night to enjoy the view which included a partial lunar eclipse, an amazing thunder and lightning show lighting up Capri, as well as just the moonlit waters of Naples Bay. There are separate seating areas / sun decks / swimming pool, as well as 2 fully equipped kitchens surrounded by olive, plum, apple, lemon and fig trees. We were there for a week. Then reality returned, we had to go home. An absolutely brilliant stay, in a wonderful villa, hosted by a beautiful family. Grazie mille.

Amazing Relaxing Villa Stay

We stayed here for two weeks at the end of August into September. The family were excellent hosts and we must say a big thank you to Olympia and Valeria for all their help and advice in making our stay so memorable. Firstly; the villa is simply stunning and the views across to Capri a sight we never tired of. The jacuzzi addition made the pool area our favourite resting place and my wife particularly enjoyed sitting there with a glass of locally sourced white wine while enjoying the bubbles Our hosts were very helpful and courteous without being intrusive and helped us with everything from arranging taxis and restaurants to supplying bus tickets for the conveniently local service. We took the bus into Massa Lubrense to shop and very much enjoyed the cafe culture of the village and the superb buffalo mozzarella and other local food. You do need to remember to buy the bus tickets from the Tabac in the village as otherwise it isn't an easy walk and I would generally recommend a hire car if you want to avoid relying on the local taxis. The taxi service is good but the prices are quite high relatively speaking which is due I guess to the winding and slow nature of the roads along the coast. We were determined to ask Mama Gelsomina to cook for us as we had heard so much about her cooking and we weren't disappointed. The 4 course traditional Italian seafood meal she prepared was exquisite and would not have been out of place in a top restaurant. The octopus was superb and the anchovies delicious and we really couldn't have eaten any more. To top it off Mama supplied us with her home made Limoncello and a fruit tart for dessert. We were invited to join their family one evening for pizza made in Papa's own genuine wood-fired pizza oven and had great fun shaping our own pizza base and choosing our own toppings before they were beautifully baked. Olimpia arranged two boat trips for us including a day long journey around Capri which included visits to the various Grottos around the Capri coastline, swimming from the back of the boat, food and drink and a 4 hour visit to Capri itself. Capri is amazing and well worth a visit even if it is just to gaze at the outrageously priced goods in the designer stores. During our day we also went on a bus and train trip to Pompeii (an absolute must) but mostly we just relaxed on the various terraces dotted around the villa and lazed by the pool. Our Dream Wedding Getaway

We married in Sorrento on the 12th June 2018 and we couldn't have picked a more perfect villa for our family to stay, we were so lucky to find this place. From the moment of our first enquiry Olimpia very promptly answered numerous questions we had prior to our booking. Her organisational skills are exceptional, she even organised our wedding transport and various taxis with Lucio (our friendly professional driver) to and from the airport for ourselves and our guests, meaning we could just relax knowing everything was taken care of (just ask Olimpia and it will happen! :) Olimpia and her family were the most perfect hosts, never imposing, but always there to help when needed. The Villa has the most amazing views across to Capri which we will never forget and many little terraces where you can settle down in the shade and have some quiet time. The pool is a lovely area with loungers and a great place to cool down. The villa is very well equipped, beautifully clean and tidy. There is air conditioning in every room which can be controlled individually, we used this often throughout our stay and were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the cost was. One highlight was definitely Olimpia's mums cooking, we had a wedding day brunch for 9 people, the standard of food was amazing and they also catered for two vegetarians and a nut allergy sufferer. Another really nice touch was they surprised us by decorating the terrace with ribbons and bows for our special day ...just lovely! We were so impressed with the food that we also had a meal one evening on the terrace and opted for the sea food menu, we truly have no words to say how fantastic this was, you must try it yourselves! In summary of our stay here, we can only say that Olimpia and her family really go out of their way to ensure that your stay is as perfect as it can be.

Home from home

Can’t say enough about our stay in this beautiful villa and with this beautiful family. Villa and outdoor spaces are great, and the view from the main terrace is breathtaking. Comfortable beds in spacious rooms, newly fitted kitchen with everything we needed provided. We were a party of 7 on a short trip of 4 days, and had all our activities planned with recommendations from Olimpia. She arranged a driver for us who drove us everywhere we wanted to go. Olimpia also helped us organise a boat trip to Capri which was tremendous. Had we been a smaller party staying longer we may suggest hiring a car as the house does feel a little remote - although it was perfect for our requirements. We would definitely recommend getting a dinner made at home by Olimpia’s Mum. It was honestly the best meal ever. There was a never-ending supply of exquisite food - and we had enough to feed ourselves the next night too. We were made to feel so at home - we really felt like part of the family! Thank you again Olimpia for everything. You’ve been a star since our first correspondence last year. We will definitely see you again (for your Dad’s pizza!)
