About the property

A 4 bedroom , 3 bathroom luxury home with 1 acre gardens and off street parking

Penmarie House is set in grounds of 1 acre , with ample off street car parking for many cars.

The property is located just 1 mile inland from Port Isaac in the village of Pendoggett with easy access to Rock, Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Wadebridge. Pendoggett is a quiet little village with one local pub: The Cornish Arms, only a short walk from the house. The house has beds for 7, but can sleep up to 12 using the various sofa beds. The location is great for beach holidays or for access to the extensive walks and footpaths, including the coastal path.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom. Both the bedroom and bathroom open to the rear of the house and have extensive views down to the sea at Port Isaac. A sofa bed can also be used in the large master bedroom. The second bedroom upstairs has a double bed and its own private bathroom across the landing. Downstairs there is a spacious lounge with 9m of sliding glass doors opening to the rear terrace. This room also has a sofa bed. Bedroom 3 is downstairs and has a double and a single bed. Adjoining bedroom 3 is the games room/ bedroom 4, with a double sofa bed. The games room has various games, including a coffee table video game with 100 vintage video games , including 1981 Space Invaders. The kitchen is accessed from the games room and includes a dining area, seats up to 8 and a centre breakfast island. Beyond the kitchen is a laundry room. The downstairs bedrooms share the 3rd bathroom with which has a walk in shower. A 4th shower is in the laundry room and can be accessed directly from outside, useful when returning sandy from a day at the beach. The outside terrace has patio furniture and sun loungers are provided in the garden. Why The Owner chose Pendoggett

A lovely village location, within a minutes walk of the local pub. Quiet and no crowds and yet within just a few minutes of the major attractions of Port Isaac, Rock and Daymer Bay. A fantastic secluded grassed back enough for a football pitch! Fabulous sea views

What makes this house unique

Plenty of off road parking available. Properties in the nearby villages of Rock, Polzeath and Port Isaac are very built up with little space left for parking. Very important if your group arrives in multiple vehicles, or you want to keep your cars safe and off the narrow roads.

An outstanding well appointed luxury family home, convientiently located for coast and inland

We were 3 generations meeting together to celebrate a special birthday. There was plenty of space to accommodate different needs - quiet reading in 1 lounge or fantastic TV entertainment ( thanks to the full Sky package) in the other huge lounge. The seating was comfortable, the house warm and tons of space to move around if unable to go outside.

We particularly like the downstairs large, warm sunny bedroom with both double and single beds and still plenty of room to accommodate the travel cot. Having a 15month baby who doesn't sleep too well allowed parents to be up with him when needed and have a lounge and kitchen access ( and even go outside if desired through the glass kitchen doors to the patio) - all without waking other members of the family sleeping upstairs.

All the beds were really comfortable, the bedrooms and house quiet and peaceful.

The kitchen is extremely well equipped with every appliance available. We baked and cooked large 3 course meals. There is ample crockery and cutlery for a crowd, ensuring you don't have to wash before re-setting the table. There are 2 large dishwashers available if needed.

The patio area is safe and delightful accessed through large glass doors from the kitchen, or from the formal lounge. We were able to use the BBQ on 1 day and we appreciated having a couple of ' instant bbq' packs available for spontaneous use instead of having to source charcoal for the local shops.

We took most of our food and drink with us but there is a small but well stocked Co-op 10mins away at Port Isaac. There are plenty of well recommended resteraunts and delightful local,pubs very near by for those who like/ are able to dine out. St Kew was really fantastic for an outdoor lunch with great food and charming ambiance. Also excellent lunch at The Mariners in Rock - one of the few resteraunts open on a Monday and willing to accommodate babies!

The garden is huge, safe and a wonderful advantage for little people who need to run off lots of energy and provides privacy; although there are only fields at the back of the property. The view from the master bedroom is delightful overlooking fields and the sea in the background.

We would highly recommend this luxurious family home, and would certainly have no hesitation in returning here for another family get together.

A fantastic space where every detail has been thought of.

A fantastic venue for a large family get together. We stayed during late October and found this property allowed us to share communal space but retreat to our own areas. The owners were committed to making our stay perfect and the little details such as dog bowls provided really sets this experience above others. I would highly recommend.

The house is beautiful, the large garden was perfect for the children to play in. It was also a great basis from which to explore Cornwall and the pub a couple doors down was also great. I would thoroughly recommend this place, many thanks to the owners!

Wow superb house perfect !

A large house spotlessly clean, presented to a very high standard.

Everything provided from luxury bedlinen, garden games, beach towels and mats to dishwasher tablets.

We had a wonderful time with our dog Lottie , some great beaches like daymer bay and Constantine beach where dogs are allowed.

Padstow was beautiful and just 15 minutes away, boscatle again gorgeous place to visit.

The local pub Cornish arms 100yards up the road , only downside they only do food at the weekend.

I read that a couple had found a walk from the house to port Isaac through the woods but alas we did not , but would suggest it's quite a trek.

Pendogget itself is a bit remote so a car is a must to get around.

We ate in so many places it appears the whole of Cornwall is dog friendly , st kew inn was good a little pricey but worth it.

In boscastle there is a lovely little cafe called the Toby cafe , dog friendly, very cheap and the food was great .

We will certainly be back and can only thank Peter for renting us his lovely house and making us some very found memories

Great Property - well equipped and prepared

The house is exactly as described. The communications with the owners was excellent. The house was very well prepared for our arrival. Spotlessly clean in every respect and fully equipped. It's well placed for beaches and other attractions. The garden is huge - ideal for the children in our party to play football, or just run around. Ours was a 3 generation party and it suited us perfectly. Hope to return. Highly recommended.
