4 bedrooms, large modern living area opening onto a large private terrace

A mere five minute walk from the centre of Interlaken the InDependance top floor apartment Is a large 130m2 4 bedroom apartment and has large 33m2 terrace. Floor to ceiling windows stretch the entire building's sunny side offering wonderful views of the Jungfrau and the surrounding area.

The apartment has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large modern kitchen living area. The kitchens are well equipped and the TV-WiFi-Satellite are up to the highest standard. Each apartment has its own washer and tumble dryer. The bathrooms have luxurious rainwater shower heads and bidet sprayers.

After a busy day of exploring, there is the option of using the wellness with a combined infrared and classical sauna, a whirlpool and some lounge chairs to help you relax

And should you have any energy left, you may want to visit our fitness room where we have a running and cycling machine.

The wellness and fitness area can be booked privately on request.

About Diarmuid Conaty

Apart from our unusual names, we are bound by a love of this area and the outdoors. We met in Interlaken in 2004.

About D: A true Irishman although I have been in this area for over fifteen years. My love of snow brought me here, but with time I have come to appreciate the summers more and more. I am a qualified rafting and canyoning guide and worked mostly in rope access before setting up our business providing quality holiday homes to our international visitors.

About Kashi: My passport is Belgian and although I was born there, I have spent most of my life abroad. My parents instilled me with an unquenchable lust for travel and adventure. Since growing up in Nepal, I have lived and worked in the outdoors in Spain, Mexico, Nepal, Italy and Austria but decided to settle in this beautiful area. The last six years I have been employed as a photographer, hiking and snowshoeing guide, ski instructor, tour guide and event planner.

We are enamoured with this area and there is not a day that goes by that we do not think we are the luckiest people to be able to live here. Now we have the opportunity to help you have the best holiday of your lives.

Five minutes walk from the center of Interlaken, the property is also on direct bus lines to Interlaken West, Interlaken Ost, and Wilderswil train stations. This leads you directly into the heart of the Jungfrau region where you can enjoy the magical valleys of Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, and also the turquoise glacial lakes of Thun and Brienz.

2 minutes drive from the highway connecting to Luzern and Bern it is great if you wish to visit more distant Swiss attractions.

For those seeking a thrill we are well connected with all the activities in what is considered the adventure capital of Europe.

And if you would prefer a quiet stroll then is the beautiful 'kleine Rugen' just outside the apartment which boasts some fantastic walks for all levels and an open grill area so you can enjoy some fantastic time outside with the family.

This apartment is the jewel in the crown. From each of the windows you have a great view. Beside the 'Kleine Rugen' you have a wide variety of short walks to long hikes starting right outside the door. At the same time you are 5 minutes walk from the center of Interlaken and all it has to offer.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in each apartment. All bathrooms are designed for the convenience of visitors from all of the world.

D and his wife have built a beautiful home in Interlaken and close to everything one wants to do. Stylish and comfortable, our family had a great time being able to walk everywhere and be so central. Stay here and you won’t regret it!

Spectacular accommodation, clean, high spec with loads of additional facilities

We were an extended family of 9 with ages ranging from 4 to 79, including a wheelchair user. The facilities were fantastic, the open plan making it easy for the wheelchair user to get around, and the bedroom able to accommodate a hoist. The table football and air hockey tables great for keeping the younger ones entertained, and the balcony with uninterrupted view of the Jungfrau an additional bonus. There was a bus stop connecting to Interlaken stations, where it is easy to access a variety of experiences for able bodied and disabled alike. For any large group wanting a base to explore Switzerland this is a great place, and for anyone needing disabled accommodation I would highly recommend staying here. In addition, the hosts were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic place to stay. Hired car but didn't use it once as so much to do by local train/walk/boat

Great location on edge of Interlaken (ie locale not horribly touristy like the centre of interlaken is) but still close (15 min walk) to the two stations (Ost and West) from where trains reach up into the high mountains and along the lakes (both boat termini are also as close by). Means no need whatever to hire a car. Do get a Swiss Pass though to cut cost of using the otherwise pricey trains. Lovely view over Jungfrau from balcony. Owners live 2 floors below and ever so friendly and helpful (as was their beautiful dog, Harley). Apartment spotlessly clean and well provisioned and very smart modern design. Endless array of things to do locally - you could comfortably spend two weeks here without touching a ski. Visits to Junfraujoch, Schillthorn and Thun are musts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

GREAT MODERN AND LUXURIOUS PLACE, FRIENDLY HOSTS

What a great place to spend your holiday!!!! The apartment was super clean and included everything you need for your perfect holiday. A fully equipped kitchen gives you the chance to cook your own meals, but the great central location in Interlaken also gives you easy access to countless restaurants near by. The owners greeted us upon arrival and were super friendly and showed us around. The apartment itself is very modern and offers any kind of luxury you can imagine for your perfect holiday. Absolutely the best value for money and I can highly recommend this place. Thanks a lot for providing us with such be great base for our Holiday in Switzerland!

beautiful apartment on a wonderful piece of earth

This apartment is amazing. The interior is well thought through, both funktional and beautiful. It is very clean and very well-maintained. There is everything you might need.

The location is nearby to town, train station, shopping...and there is a nice little hill just in front you can go for a stroll or walk. The view from living- and dining room and the balcony is stunning- the jungfrau on its beauty!!

The Jaccuzi and Sauna are a massive plus on top of that great accomodation!

The owner and manager are extremely friendly and helpfull, they do look well after you.

I would highly recommend the place and will be back soon! THANK YOU KASHI AND D!!

A mere 5 minutes walk from the center of Interlaken, our property also has shops and restaurants within a very short distance. The bus which connects to the train station stops right in front of the property and the highway is a 2 minute drive away.

Matten and Interlaken are well connected and make it an ideal base to explore the Jungfrau region and offers a great alternative to busy ski resorts in the winter.

Did we forget to mention that the apartment has a view of the magnificent Jungfrau?
