Travel from the UK is delightfully easy with both ferries and Eurotunnel less than an hour away from the house. You can be on a 6pm train from the UK, hit the fabulously traffic free A16 on the French side and be in the house enjoying a glass of wine in the garden by 8.30pm French time (that's 7.30 English time!) and with a wonderful relaxing weekend stretching ahead of you!

Refreshingly exactly as described

  • 5 of 5

This property was indeed "tranquil, delightful, cosy and utterly charming". It was beautifully presented and all three couples on our break were very impressed. The location also lends itself to be a useful springboard to visit some of the towns that bit further South of Le Touquet.

We would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

New Year Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is the most peaceful, well maintained, comfortable and loved house we have ever stayed in.The house was beautifully furnished, well equipped and cosy (even in a cold and frosty January). Isabel the agent was brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful. We would love to come back.

Picture perfect French property, ideal for relaxing retreat.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I visited Petit Chemin for a Christmas getaway and we could not of hoped for anything more. Isabel was so friendly and helpful and upon our arrival made us feel right at home. The property was exactly as described, if not a little more beautiful. The layout of the house is perfect for an adult family or group of friends. The location, although very rural, is ideally situated for arrivals into Calais and is only a short drive from other more bustling towns.

I would strongly recommend this property and I have no doubt we'll be back.

Two week holiday for four adults in late June and early July 2016

  • 5 of 5

We had a most enjoyable stay in Dominois. The house was everything as promoted on the website. House and grounds were of the highest standard

with everything in working order and absolutely spotless. Located in the countryside it was an ideal tranquil location for our break and being from an agricultural background ourselves we were able to appreciate the excellent farming of the area. There were a few nice restaurants nearby which we visited when not eating at home.

Our highest praise must be for our host, Isabel, who met us on arrival and and could not have been more helpful in explaining the locality and making us feel at home. She went out of her way to arrange a farm visit for us in the locality which turned out to be most interesting. Isabel certainly made our holiday. In summary, we would give this destination our highest recommendation to anyone seeking accommodation in this area.

Surrounded by gently rolling countryside with the emphasis on agriculture this is a lovely area to relax and wind down. So easy to get to from the UK either by ferry or Eurotunnel. The house is in a small hameau (hamlet) and as such is peaceful and secluded. Nearby you have such things as the Abbey de Valoire with its beautiful gardens, the fortified town of Montreuil sur Mer where the Wine Society is based and where you will find 2 Michelin stared restaurants and many other excellent ones to choose from. The region boasts a selection of excellent golf courses for differing levels and interest from links to forest. Huge open sandy beaches at nearby Le Touquet and Berck where you can find sand yachting and paragliding plus seal watching and bracing sunny walks. The battle of Azincourt offers an interesting detour for all ages and the many many memorials to the 1st and 2nd World wars form a emotional and interesting route to experience. Nearby the Bay of the Somme flanked by the charming villages of Le Crotoy and St Valerie offer a seaside with a difference, pretty art and craft shops and plenty of restaurants offering a diverse selection of local fish specialities. For something bigger then Arras and Amiens make a good day out and of course there are trains to Paris, at just under 2 hours away a day to view some sites is perfectly doable. There are plenty of good markets and restaurants in the area so you can stock up before heading back home with a great selection of local produce to enjoy and keep you going 'til your next visit!
