Aphrodite Sands resort is in the picturesque village of Mandria and is surrounded by beautiful countryside.

This is a luxury ground floor apartment with 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), 2 bathrooms with open plan living/dining/kitchen. All rooms are air-conditioned, with the addition of ceiling fans and screens on all windows/doors. The apartment comes fully equipped with all modern appliances. The apartment has a sun facing terrace/garden which backs on to two swimming pools, landscaped gardens as well as a child’s play area.

The use of a gym, sauna steam room and jacuzzi is free for all guests. The Spa also offers exceptional health and beauty treatments at very competitive prices.

Aphrodite Sands is perfect for golfers; with the exclusive Aphrodite Hill Championship Golf course and Secret Valley Golf course both less than 5km away, along with Minthis Hill Golf Couse and the Elea Golf course also within a short drive.

Mandria village is a 5-minute walk from the complex and has excellent restaurants, perfect for families or couples looking to relax and soak up the wonderful Cypriot weather and culture.

Mandria beach is a 10/15 min walk down a quiet road, with its very own beach bar right on the sand.

Paphos is 20 minutes by car; there is a regular bus service and a taxi facility available in the village if you choose not to hire your own car. Paphos Airport is only a 10-minute drive.

Not as 'luxury' as advertised!

Mandria is a beautiful village with a small choice of Taverna's/Restaurants serving excellent fish and seafood. The accommodation was far from luxury. Everything was there for your basic needs but finishing touches were missing. There were no instructions for the oven or washing machine which proved a challenge. The shower in the double en-suite flooded and the loo did not flush properly. The cool box which was handy for taking a picnic to the beach had no handle. The air conditioning instructions were not clear - the switch is not in fact in the hall but behind the kitchen door linking to the hall! No basics for the kitchen were provided, eg washing up liquid so take your own! The outdoor close rack was rusty. On a plus the beds were comfy and the terrace was lovely to sit out in the evening. The Management at the complex were very helpful and arranged car hire for us.

Perfect for family of 4

From booking to leaving the holiday was amazing!

We booked our holiday at short notice so was slightly apprehensive as we have usually booked a package holiday for convenience. We contacted the owner (Alicia) prior to booking to clarify a couple of things, she responded very quickly and addressed what we queried, and this continued after making the booking too. We checked trip advisor in conjunction with owners direct and in the end was more than satisfied that we booked from the outstanding & accurate reviews.

For us the location of the village (Mandria) and the apartment were ideal. The apartment is located on the ground floor adjacent to the smaller pool, this allowed us to relax and keep a watchful eye on our two children (8&12yrs) whilst they roamed freely between park, pool and apartment.The access instructions provided by the owner were very clear and easy to follow. The added bonus with this apartment is that you have an allocated parking space just out the front.

The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped for a Self catering holiday. The facilities the apartment has to offer are ideal, two bathrooms which allowed us to get ready that much quicker! The white goods appeared tricky as we didn't find the instructions until the last few days (draw under the TV) but all good in the end! There were a couple of 'wear and tear' matters (showerhead and loose tap) that needed addressing when we first arrived, but this was very quickly rectified by the management team and the owner (same day!).

We strongly recommend a car for your stay here as the apartment is situated within a small traditional Cypriot village away from the more livelier hustle and bustle of Paphos (just a 10 min drive away). That said there are 4 restaurants which all offer very tasty traditional and british food at very competitive prices (cheaper than Paphos), also there is a mini market for your bare essentials. There is a bigger and better supermarket on the B6 road just outside the resort which has far more choice and was the cheapest around.

The staff are very friendly and approachable, the most outstanding by far is the 'handyman/pool man' (Lefteris), he would always speak to you. Our son showed an enthusiasm to help with his chores (pool and garden maintenance) which he welcomed and applauded. Lefteris made his holiday and in the end recruited others like our son!

Overall it was an amazing holiday and we will definitely return next year, thank you Cyprus!

Lovely apartment and great pool and surroundings

Was a great apartment with everything we needed - fridge/freezer, microwave, bed linen etc. Had a lovely veranda which looked onto the pool which was in great condition. Apartment was perfect for our family and young baby and was spotless clean when we arrived.
