Lovely, spacious farmhouse in great location

  • 5 of 5

I booked this beautiful farmhouse very late in the day and am so glad I did. It is in the perfect location for visiting many local landmarks and attractions including Port Isaac, Bude and Padstow plus further afield if you fancy a day out (We went to St. Michael's Mount). There are also some excellent beaches nearby and plenty to see and do (if you fancy a spot of mackerel fishing, Port Isaac offers an excellent trip out in very helpful company). Moreover, the local village of St. Neath is within walking distance and contains a very welcoming pub, excellent cafe and handy village store for those all important essentials or if you just want to pop in for a coffee or a pint.

The property features a beautiful wooden platform next to a large pond with a small waterfall, an idyllic setting for an early morning or evening cuppa. There's also a small play area for smaller children that my youngest took full advantage of. The rooms are beautifully kept and the living room spacious, with plenty of games and DVDs to keep the older ones entertained.

Absolutely delighted that we managed to book such a fantastic property at short notice and John and Christine were both very welcoming and always on hand during our stay.

I highly recommend this wonderful farmhouse for a family holiday to Cornwall.

A hidden GEM!

  • 5 of 5

You know in life when you find somewhere so magical that you want to tell everyone but then worry that you'll never get back in again - well this is one of those places. The owners are CHARMING, the house is WONDERFUL, the location is STUNNING and we will definitely return. It would be a super place for a family to stay for October half term as still warm enough to surf at Trebarwith Strand - Malibu lessons there are fab as small class sizes and huge beach. Ideal for Christmas - lots of room for a sparkly tree and a fireplace for Santa's magic to happen around, also lots of games and DVDs to watch if it rains. The house is very well kitted out, lots of hot water, slightly quirky heating arrangements but it works. Beds are super comfy. Only drawback are the light pretty curtains in bedrooms so during summer you may wake early (possibly take black out fabric with you for kids rooms!). I can also imagine fabulous Easter egg hunts around the gorgeous farm with local spring lamb for Easter lunch from the fabulous tradional butcher in the village. I am already planning our future holidays with John and Christine. Thank you!!

The kids said 10/10!

Fab farmhouse, roomy, airy, comfy and very clean, everything you need for a wonderful relaxing holiday in this beautiful part of the country. John and Christine are the perfect hosts who made us feel so welcome especially with scones and fizz, and providing our rowdy children with extra outdoor toys to keep them entertained! The location is great for the beach and lots of other lovely days out. We would certainly recommend a stay here you won't be disappointed. Thank you John & Chris (if we are not back in the future it's only because we will be bunking with our friends who now live here 😊)

Family get together

  • 5 of 5

The farmhouse was ideal for us. All the rooms were of a generous size and provided a great space for us, our two grown up sons, daughter-in-law and little grandson without feeling we were on top of one another. It was a lovely place to come home to after a day out, very peaceful. We had a wonderful family holiday, thank you Christine and John. We will be back!
