Wonderful cottage in a beautiful village

  • 5 of 5

A superb cottage in a beautiful village ten minutes from the Jurassic coast. This is a very well equipped upside down cottage very close to the coast. The kitchen diner is very well equipped and the twin and double bedrooms, both ensuite, are also on the ground floor. The lounge is on the first floor complete with log burner and sky tv. There is a lovely courtyard garden and conservatory where we enjoyed morning coffee with the newspaper! Tara was very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The beds were super comfy. There is an award winning village shop and the food in the Sailors Return pub, 5 minutes drive away, was lovely. Great ales. We would be happy to return and recommend to friends and family. We had lovely days out to Monkey World, Lulworth Cove and Swanage. Such a lovely part of the world. I also spotted a little group of wheatears in a field adjacent to the village on a wander which was superb! Great spot for birdwatchers

Terrible communication and lack of kitchen items

  • 1 of 5

the place had empty hand wash dispensers in the bathroom and no extra garbage bags, when we requested for more we were given exactly one bag then.

had to chase 4 times to get my deposit back and if I didn't the owner was probably going to keep it as she didn't write to me to get bank account details even though it was over 3 days since i left the property and then took 10days to get the deposit back after texting and emailing them.

if you are looking for a hassle free stay i wouldn't suggest this one

A lovely and quirky home from home

  • 5 of 5

The Coach House had everything we needed for our short stay in Dorset to visit Monkey World. It was easy to find and in a lovely location, not far from Weymouth and literally 10 minutes drive from Monkey World. Loved the quirkiness of the upside accommodation, it was very comfortable and the Sky plus HD made it a home from home. Our boys loved the fast, reliable wi-fi too, most important for teenagers! Would definitely recommend.

Thank you Tara and Andy.

Comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is in a good location allowing you to access the Dorset coast and Poole/Bournemouth relatively easily (by car of course!).

The standard of accommodation is very high. The owners have thought of everything and it is probably the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. The standard of cleanliness is also very high.

We enjoyed our short stay in the cottage and are happy to recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

Fantastic, clean, comfortable, quirky.

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved our stay in this lovely property..we booked for next year before we came away..I would imagine no one stays there just once...It is head and shoulders better than anywhere else we have stayed..lots of little extras that made our stay even nicer..Oh and the beds are so comfortable, I normally cant get comfortable in any bed but my own, but the beds there are top quality...also the bigbwhite fluffy towels...oh everything was really nice...The owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them..when we left it felt like leaving friends...I would highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone who wants a lovely clean and comfortable place to stay at a very reasonable price..Even the village is lovely, and there is a handy shop just a few yards away..There are numerous places to visit as well, all within a few miles..We just can't wait to go back.I honestly can't praise it enough.

What a Great Find

  • 5 of 5

We could not fault the Coach House, everything was perfect for us, you could tell a lot of thought has gone into the layout and the facilities in the cottage were second to none. We even got some ideas for our own house. The location is superb and only minutes drive away from the major attractions, beaches and towns. Tara and Andy our hosts were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for the duration of our stay. We very much hope to visit again one day
