Fab clean villa!

From the beginning, when we booked our villa through Owners Direct with Chris Christou from First Option holiday villas, everything was plain sailing and went smoothly. Chris also organised our airport transfers, which were there waiting for us.

All the information about the villa is correct. We have stayed in many villas in Cyprus over the last 11 years and this was one of our favourites.

The pool was maintained the best out of all the villas we have stayed in and was crystal clear for the whole 2 weeks we were there. We loved the pool area that was completely private. I can only assume that the surrounding bushes had recently been pruned, when the previous renter stayed there. Plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas too.

The actual villa was spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything that you need. It was only used to make breakfast and lunch, as we ate out every evening, but you would have all that you need to make dinner too.

We were right next door to The Stonehouse Inn, which was a bonus if you didn't want to go into the Coral Bay main strip ( about 15 mins walk) for food and/or drink. We ate a delicious mezze there. They also have tribute bands 3 times a week for a bit of entertainment.

We had a couple of very small problems in the first couple of days at the villa; air con wasn't working in one bedroom and a broken iron, but these were rectified immediately after emailing Chris and Frixos sorting them. Very efficient!

The only slight negative is that the villa is a little far to the beach in the July/August heat. Not a problem for us though as we hired a car for part of our stay.

Would we stay again? Yes definitely! Thank you so much to Chris, Frixos and their teams!

Fantastic Holiday

Just returned with three boys all grumpy to have to leave. You are next to the Stone House Tavern, which to us was a pleasure. All the staff are lovely and the food fantastic. They even decorated my birthday table for me and provided a cake. Somebody previously mentioned about a donkey and a parrot, my boys loved saying hello to the donkey and feeding coco at the Stone House. If you walk around 10 mins, off the main road so its safer, you will come to the supermarket that has everything, i was amazed, you then pay and ask for delivery and they delivery the shopping and you to your door, fantastic service. Not sure about the comment about people wandering into the garden, the pool man came twice and the gardener and once a salesman, apart from that we were left to our own company. My boys are not quiet and we are a normal family, it was a pleasure to let them have fun without worrying about making too much noise and we felt totally at home here.

Close to main road, next to noisy restaurant, garden not private as promised but love Cyprus still!

Love Coral Bay and villa accommodation but sadly this wasn't quite as advertised but was cheaper than most so probably should have guessed! The garden isn't private and locals appeared in it on a regular basis which rather surprised us at times. The pool and poolside can be seen from the car park of the restaurant, the restaurant, the lane and the field next door so not private at all really. There was no villa guide book (first time ever not seen one so perhaps not experienced at offering rentals). Bed was very noisy and very uncomfortable - not a good sleeping location. The sofas and chairs are wooden structures and not at all cosy as the appearance suggests. The main bathroom toilet didn't flush all the time and the shower room was very small (sit sidewards on the toilet as the sink was in the way!!) The shower in the shower room was more of a tap above you but all the water just flooded in to the room no matter what you did - so basically don't try and use it - but the toilet works so it's good for that!). The kitchen provided some good provisions but a lack of knives and certainly sharp knives made washing up a regular thing - the actual provisions given (bread, a few butters, milk, water and juice) were great but really little things like salt, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, kitchen foil, cooking oil etc made the first shop an expensive one (the first time that we'd had to buy all of these ever). The TV box didn't work for us (instructions could have helped) so only local tv available and not sure about the wifi - we decided that the villa may be owned by the restaurant next door and the villa wifi could have a very similar name but not sure?? If not it didn't work! The donkey next door was lovely and very friendly but a little smelly when the wind blows the wrong way! We had great weather and made good use of the pool by ignoring the road noise, the restaurant noise and the general lack of privacy we still managed to have a good break from the stresses of work. Would probably suit young people better than families or couples looking for a romantic/private break.
