Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Great holiday. A good base to explore all of Cornwall.

Cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. The new beds were absolutely fine, and we appreciated all correspondence with the owner.

We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Trewellen cottage st merryn

  • 5 of 5

Impressed with the cottage fully equipped more than would have expected , spotlessly clean lovely outside space , not that we could use it due to a week of rain . Would highly recommend it , on the negative side , glass panel was missing on the stairs which could have caused a problem especially if we had had children , unfortunately we would suggest you buy new mattresses as they where a bit uncomfortable . I'm sure these issues will be amended soon , but needless to say it wouldn't stop us from coming back

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. After a few comments throughout the year we will definitely be buying new mattresses for next year. They have only been in for two years but we obviously need better ones. Possibly changing one double for twin beds in one bedroom. Glad you had a nice stay despite the weather.

The property was lovely. It was extremely well appointed, well maintained and clean. Julie obviously has taken great care and attention to detail.

The downside, sadly, were the beds. The 'blue' bed was very firm and uncomfortable and after two nights I had to sleep on the sofa as my hip was so sore I couldn't walk very well.

The 'white' bed mattress has sunk in the middle and is old and uncomfortable.

It's a shame that I have to write this negative and hopefully constructive review regarding the beds but I feel that if this situation were to be addressed I would have no hesitation in renting this property again as its location is ideally suited to exploring Cornwall.

Fantastic property!!

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic week here at the end of August. They have thought of everything. Kitchen is really well equipped and lots of little extras that made the week even better, such as a wind break in the summer house to take to the beach as we couldn't fit ours in! The only down side we found is that the mattress in the master bedroom was extremely soft and therefore we didn't sleep very well but that is down to personal preference so still 5 stars for the property. We will certainly remember this gem for when we come again to this part of cornwall.
