Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (or Chamonix), a resort area near the junction of France, Switzerland and Italy, is renowned for its alpine skiing. It’s at the base of Mont Blanc, the highest summit in the Alps. Year-round, cable cars take visitors up to several nearby peaks with panoramic views, including Aiguille du Midi, Pointe Helbronner on the Italian border and Le Brévent.

What makes this chalet unique

Chalet le Flocon is a 1 minute walk to Chamonix town centre. A traditional wood and stone chalet that has been completely refurbished in August 2015 with large garden and covered hot tub, large sunny south facing dinning balcony for 8 people with spectacular views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi. Inside there is a large wood fireplace in the open plan kitchen lounge area and private parking for 2 cars. The owner lives next door and is all ways available to make the most of your alpine dream holiday.

2nd stay and planning more!

We just returned from our 2nd stay for our little girls 8th birthday. She asked to go to Chamonix and stay in the home because, as she said, “the house is fun and it feels good.” Still the best house and location in town. Charly is a great host. We are already planning our next visit!

Beautiful property in a fantastic location

We loved staying in the Chalet le Flocon. With the three bedrooms and the loft in the living area, there was plenty of room for our family of 5. The kitchen was well-appointed, and we appreciated having a washer. The kids were also excited to find the Xbox in the loft.

We really enjoyed the views of Mont Blanc from the front balcony and the covered hot tub in the backyard. After a long day of hiking, it was lovely to be able to relax in the tub.

Charlie was also extremely helpful and friendly. He checked in with us several times to ask if we had any questions/issues.

Finally, the location was perfect. We could walk into the center of town in 5 minutes. It was so convenient to be able to walk to the grocery stores and restaurants. We were also able to walk to the gondolas, the Montenvers train and the ropes course.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay. We would love to go back in the future.

Beautiful chalet andview

Our family loved staying in the chalet! The location was a short, easy walk to the center of town. The view from the deck is amazing! Very comfortable and nice décor. Charlie was very helpful as well.

Perfect if you enjoy a bright, clean, convenient, warm, quiet, cozy house with views and hottub

We spent a month in Le Flocon with our 2 children and wouldn't do it any other way. It's perfectly situated to walk or bike anywhere in Chamonix without hump'n up hotel stairs or up a big hill with the kids... we didn't need to touch our car! Even though it's close to the town center it's quiet and dark at night. You can acces skiing, hiking/biking trails, rock climbing, dinner, groceries and more all within a 5 min walk. It had great pillows and mattresses, I almost considered stealing them. In floor heating on super clean wood floors made walking around in nothing but my socks and birthday suit very cozy. Apres ski was always spent enjoying the IMMENSE unobstructed views of Mt Blanc and its surrounding peaks from the house, deck and hot tub. Everything worked great, it's super safe, Charlie the manager was always available, we'll definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful location, all the comforts of home and more!

The accommodation was both light and spacious. It contained a valued variety of appliances and poducts that ensured a comfortable stay ranging from a dishwasher and washing machine to a hairdryer and a hot tub!

Convenient location for shopping and restaurants. The Views were spectacular and included Mont Blanc!

Fantastic accommodation and very helpful Owner. Definitely book here again if staying in Chamonix!

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, more commonly known simply as Chamonix (formerly also spelled Chamounix), is a commune in the Haute-Savoie département in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It was the site of the first Winter Olympics in 1924. The commune's population of around 8,900 ranks 1,089th within the country of France.

Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and most notably the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and is known as the "gateway to the European Cascades. The north side of the summit of Mont Blanc, and therefore the summit itself are part of the village of Chamonix. To the south side, the situation is different depending on the country. Italy considers that the border passes through the top. France considers that the boundary runs along the rocky Tournette under the summit cap, placing it entirely in French territory. The south side was in France, assigned to the commune of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains sharing the summit with its neighbor Chamonix. It is this situation "for France," which is found on the French IGN maps. The Chamonix commune is well known and loved by skiers and mountain enthusiasts of all types, and via the cable car lift to the Aiguille du Midi it is possible to access the world famous off-piste skirun of the Vallée Blanche. With an area of 245 km2 (95 sq mi), Chamonix is the fourth largest commune in mainland France.
