A most spectacular view, a warm welcome, with lots of goodies.lovely cottage full of character.

  • 5 of 5

Galleon cottage is in the most beautiful situation. Close to the beach and next door to the pub.!

It has a wonderful walk in shower with heated floor which is ideal when you come off the beach.

Although the mezzanine bedroom is restricted in height the bed was very comfortable and the view from the window was unbelievable..

The cottage has everything needed to give you a restful and comfortable holiday.

Fantastic property

  • 5 of 5

The property was superb, great welcome pack and a brilliant location.

Sarah e mailed on the morning of our arrival to say that sea defence work had started that weekend, and there were indeed piles of boulders and three big machines in situ. We christened these `Bob the Boulder` and it was very interesting watching them work, even though the tides had them working some unusual hours.

The Royal Hotel is right next door and provided good food and pleasant company.

This property is well worth booking

Stunning ......

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful Village..... Thank you for our welcome gifts Sarah such a lovely gesture. On arrival the allocated parking was easy to find and a space was always available though out our stay which is important to us for a relaxing holiday. The cottage was easy to find and is absolutely stunning... well equipped ...perfect location for visiting the coast.... lovely relaxing retreat and amazing unobstructed views across the bay..... We will definitely be returning to this beautiful cottage and highly recommend a visit. On the first floor there is a lovely kitchen/dinning/sitting room which is perfectly designed to make full use of the wonderful views. Down stairs there's two good sized bedrooms which are spotlessly clean and fresh.... the bathroom is also down stairs which is also a good size with a great power shower. Up stairs from the kitchen is a further bedroom which has absolutely beautiful views, we did favour this room although the stairs to this bedroom are quite awkward. Our contact with Sarah was always very helpful from beginning to end and instruction to reach the cottage were clear. There's helpful clear instruction in the cottage and lots of extra advice and local recommendations which was very helpful.

Runswick Bay is the most beautiful village and Galleon House is the perfect location to stay at the Bay ....

The loveliest retreat from it all!

  • 5 of 5

Our second stay at this very lovely cottage, the location is unrivalled, more or less next to the pub (no noise though) and a stones throw from the beautiful bay itself. The decor of the cottage & sarah's very thoughtful, welcoming gifts and gorgeous cake are beautiful. Above all the panoramic views from the living room picture windows are breathtaking! As ever a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

Runswick Bay is a very pretty, well kept and unspoilt former fishing village within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Quaint white washed and sandstone cottages that ooze charm, make this quite unchanged location a wonderful place to relax and spend quality time with friends and family.
