A bright, spacious, two bedroomed flat situated in a Georgian townhouse in Marleybone, Westminster.

The advantage of this apartment is its central location. Marylebone village is a stylish, elegant part of London, within walking distance of all the attractions.

For the shoppers, the vibrant Oxford Street is a 10 minute walk south and for those preferring the boutique experience, Marylebone village is peppered with designer boutiques.

Comfort and good location

Our group of six enjoyed a pleasant weekend in this well-equipped flat off of Edgeware Road. It was clean and comfortable with adequate space for a group. There are Tesco and Waitrose stores within 5 minutes walk on Edgeware Road. The kitchen was adequate to prepare full meals. It is located in a diverse neighborhood about 15 minutes walk from the US embassy. The closest tube stop is Edgeware Road and there is a bicycle station right in front. My only complaint is the owners skimp on the toilet paper--the property is intended for a group, so stock it accordingly.

Somos una familia de 5 personas que hemos estado 3 noches (4 días) en este apartamento cercano a Hyde Park.

La elección ha sido acertada; el apartamento es correcto; buena situación, bien equipado y el precio es razonable teniendo en cuenta los altos precios que hay en Londres en estas fechas. Aunque está a sólo 2' de la concurrida Edgware road; el barrio es residencial y tranquilo, con 2 estaciones metro a 5 y 10' andando. Como punto positivo a destacar la amabilidad y flexibilidad del propietario que nos permitió alargar último día hasta las 16 h. (check-out es a las 11 h.). A mejorar la limpieza en general y especialmente en la cocina.

Perfect for a long weekend in London

Great location - needs some tweaks

Simon & Laila are excellent, responsive hosts. The location of the apartment was about as central as one can get in London - the "sights" were often no more than 2 to 3 stops away from either Edgware Road or Marylebone stations (it's not on a busy road but it's also not "quiet" as the traffic and pedestrians get started pretty early in the morning). Tons of great Middle Eastern restaurants less than a block away. The place itself is as pictured: pretty roomy (for a family of 4) for central London but my biggest complaint is with the bed. The king size bed in the master bedroom is barely a futon and the mattress is terrible. The other bedroom (also futon type of bed) actually had a mattress pad under the bed on the floor that my wife was able to use on the master bed. I ended up sleeping on the pullout sofa which turned out to be ok but if your back is iffy like mine be aware. My other disappointment (which is frankly hard to understand given how nice Simon and Laila are) is that the description lists a "tumble dryer". There is a drying rack but no dryer and there should not be a listing for one. If the beds/futons were tweaked with an inexpensive memory foam mattress I would feel comfortable giving a higher rating. There are no directions on how to watch the TV which wasn't a big deal for us because we didn't watch it but you might want to ask Simon or Laila how to operate it if you plan to do so.

Spacious and clean

This was a quaint 2 bedroom. Nice kitchen space and handy to marble arch station. The nearest large street is very diverse and I didn't care for the hooka bar crowd since I had 2 teens boys w me so we Diliberately walked down brown and Sydney streets to catch train or cab ,went to Gail's French bakery every day which was amazing, our son ran Hyde park every day, we walked to oxford and Bond shopping and movies, got cabs readily.. found it quiet and peaceful w great wifi

The one shower is so tiny, we couldn't really use and we had to buy tp almost immediately. Same thing happened in Paris so must just be different than US standards. We own a 2/2 beach VRBO in Southern California and I keep

It very well stocked w 3 sets of linen for everybed, tons of toiletries, paper products, bottled water, basic food like coffee cream wine etc . I have beach towels and bikes and at least 30 brand new bath towels ..extra bath mats etc. anyway location great, safe and worked well to have 2 baths w our kids w us..feel like a local and didn't miss concierge . The neighborhood here is diverse like the city and that I was not expecting-my own ignorance I think, but it's just good to know going in. Also we got no instruction on tv so we couldn't use a binder on premise explaining the washing machine, heating, tv and maybe local recommendations for meals or activities would be helpful. The check in woman was a delight...but again instructions or a lock box would do the same thing I think. We use a keypad entry for ours that I change from

Great location, lovely apartment!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 college-age sons) stayed here for a week on a London holiday. The apartment was just as indicated in the description - very clean and bright, and on a quiet street with great access to stores, shops, and restaurants. It was also convenient to bus stops, and between the Marble Arch and Edgware tube stations. Communication with Simon and Laila was easy. Thanks for a great stay in London!

Location

Car: not necessary

In the heart of London, within walking distance to the shops of Oxford Street to the south, moments from the Edgware Road to the West and the beautiful Regent's Park to the North.

The advantage of this apartment is that it is within walking distance of all the key attractions. The museums, art galleries, London Eye and the river Thames are all within walking distance.

For the Shoppers, the vibrant Oxford Street is just 10 minutes walk south and the boutiques of Marleybone are a short walk to East.

Restaurants of all sorts to suit all palates can be found within a few minutes of the apartment.

For sports lovers, Regents Park is a five minute walk away. Bicycles can be hired to cycle around the outer circle of the park. For runners, there are well laid tracks throughout the park. The well-maintained boating lake is found in the centre of the park, for leisure use. The park is truly beautiful and well maintained - a floral delight throughout spring and summer.

To the South, the expanse of Hyde Park is a 10 minute walk away. The Serpentine was a beautiful stretch of water within the park and provides a beautiful location for a picnic.

Heathrow express can be accessed via Paddington Station, which is a short taxi ride away from the apartment.

The nearest underground station is Edgware Road with Marylebone station just six minutes walk north. Marble Arch, on the Central line can be found five minutes south of the apartment.

For those wishing to combine a trip to Europe, the Eurostar terminal is within St Pancras station, less than a mile from the property.
