Overview

About the property

Newly refurbished 2 bed cottage (sleeps 4) in heart of Yorkshire Dales

Castle View, Castle Bolton really does live up to its name, with views of the cottage that quite literally can not be surpassed (and are only equalled by our neighbour!)

Fully restored in 2015/2016, the cottage is open plan downstairs, with kitchen area, a large dining table, sofa, chairs TV and DAB radio. The open plan nature gives it a very cosy feeling, but it's certainly not cramped.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms , both have two single beds, but in the main room we can make it up to be a superkingsize bed if you want. The shower room upstairs is fitted with a modern walk in shower lovely powerful shower, toilet and wash basin.

There is oil fired central heating throughout, and a gorgeous wood burning stove for a cosy night in.

Outside there are two seating areas the rear of which overlooks open fields.

The cottage also had hi speed broadband

About Alec Walton

Hi - thanks for looking at our little gem of a cottage which we bought in 2015 as a restoration project. We use it as a weekend and summer get away so it's our home from home

Alec Walton purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Alec Walton chose Castle Bolton

They say buy a house according to location location and location, and for once we listened to this advice. Our Cottage is set at the head of the village with views of the Castle that quite literally are unsurpassed (and only equalled by our neighbour!)

During 2015 we have sympathetically restored the cottage and yet maintained a very homely warm feel. I hope the pictures do it justice

Gorgeous

Lovely area, gorgeous cottage it was so homely and had everything we needed. Stayed here may half term week with 14 and 10 year olds, found plenty to do,nice walks and places to visit near by! Youngest loved the sheep next door especially Wesley! The cottage was perfect, was clean modern and had wifi which was great to settle down and watch a movie on our laptop of an evening after a busy day. Only a couple of things I would of liked better were a blackout blind in the bedroom and a bedside table on my side of the bed for my morning cuppa! Would definitely look to come back here again. mini break

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable cosy clean cottage. Plenty to keep you busy without travelling too far when the weather is a bit wet and miserable. Tennant Auction house well worth a visit and the Bolton Arms in Redmire for great food and a drink or two!
