Alison Yeates purchased this cottage in 2016
The accommodation nestles in the delightful village of Empingham, and has been furnished in a palette of neutral, calm colours, with design touches and attention to detail throughout to provide self catering with the luxury edge. Pibbles Nook is an ideal place to stay if you want to ...relax for a few days ...enjoy country walks ...visit local attractions ...explore the area ...attend a friend or family celebration ...visit the public schools of Oakham, Uppingham or Stamford.
This holiday retreat is ideally located to explore one of the finest examples of creative conservation in Great Britain - Rutland Water. Stroll down the bridle path next to Pibbles Nook, climb the stile, make your way across the meadow and pass through the spinney that leads to the edge of the water where you can enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits including water sports, trout fishing, bird watching, cycling and walking.
Nice welcome pack, the place was warm, clean, very well kitted out (including the essential washer-dryer for when returning from a muddy hike or bike ride). The beds were comfortable, towels good, and the wifi works :)
Easy to find, easy parking, and easy to get to the waters. The pub at the top of the lane serves good pub food too. Overall a really nice stay.
Great 3 night stay in a truly beautiful cottage. We come from a very busy city so the quiet country location with easy access to both Oakham and Stamford was ideal for us. Really liked the personal touches, Alison had left fresh bread, jam, biscuits and wine on arrival. Highly recommend this cottage to all! Great stay, we will be back, thank you! Rose and Baz
Lovely place to stay, really clean and tidy and finished to a high standard. Really friendly owners, would recommend staying here to anyone.
Immaculately clean, beautifully furnished, a real treat. Our second stay won't be our last.
Very welcoming owners. Excellent equipment in the cottage, pleasant, quiet surroundings.
A warm and cosy cottage in an excellent location to explore around Rutland, Oakham, Stamford etc. Very high quality fixtures and fittings. Nice easy location to get to off the A1, but far enough away not to hear the motorway.
