About Pat Ford

Our names are Pat and Richard. Pat has lived in St Just for the last 25 years and Richard was born and bred in the town of St Just. We have owned and run a successful holiday cottage at Kenegie Manor for the last 8 years and this is the second cottage we have on the same site. We love Kenegie Manor because it is peaceful and tranquil and yet so convenient for visiting all the fabulous locations around this wonderful part of West Cornwall. We hope you will love it too.

Why Pat Ford chose Madron

The property is in a lovely location set in the most beautiful landscaped gardens of the 16th Century Kenegie Manor House. It is peaceful and quiet but in an ideal location for visiting all the major attractions around West Cormwall including the artist's favourite - St Ives with its stunning white sandy beaches, quaint little fisherman cottages, cobbled streets and the famous Tate Gallery. The property is just a short drive from St Michaels Mount where at low tide you can walk across the cobbled causeway or hop aboard one of the ferry boats to explore the Mount. The gorgeous fishing village of Mousehole is again a short drive away and where visitors are always given a warm welcome. A 15 minute drive will take you to the world famous Lands End, the breathtaking Sennen Cove and the incredible Minack Theatre cut into the cliffs at Porthcurno.

What makes this cottage unique

We love the peace and quiet. We love that we are so near the beaches but in a country setting too. We can sit outside on the patio enjoying a glass of wine with only the sound of the birds as company.

A perfect base

  • 5 of 5

My family of four stayed for one week and had an amazing time. The facilities were perfect for us. The cottage was petite but had everything we needed. St Ives was just a 15 minutes drive. St Michaels mount is 5 minutes drive away and Penzance is on your doorstep. The only thing slightly negative is that the double bed was very small for us but we are used to a king size bed, so it took a night or two to get used to. I would definitely book again though as it was a little gem. Thank you for letting us stay.

Great value family and pet friendly holiday location!

  • 4 of 5

The family had a lovely time all round in South Cornwall and this accommodation is in a handy central location close to many lovely towns and attractions and just a few minutes drive from the supermarkets when needed. Kenegie Manor offered activities to keep our boys occupied in between sight seeing as well as several other families neighbouring us for making friends. It was nice to have clean and comfortable self catering accommodation to come back to at the end of the night. Although in a cul de sac, I imagine the spot would get rather bustling with other families during peak holiday times as there are quite a few neighbouring properties. After speaking to our neighbours at no. 35 in the manor, I know Pat Ford offered an excellent price for this property for the week!

Nettes Cottage zu günstigem Preis

  • 4 of 5

Unterm Strich positiv, v.a. hinsichtlich des sehr günstigen Preises.
