Highly recommended
Very comfortable and attractive historic property in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Owner was friendly and prompt in responding to communications. Great for local walks and visiting historic villages and buildings/gardens in East Sussex/Kent. We would be very happy to stay again if visiting the area and would definitely recommend.

About the host

Host profile image
My husband and I and our four children have lived at Hamsell for the past 20 years and have now converted the north wing to provide luxury accommodation for the discerning traveller wishing to be close to Tunbridge Wells or the South Coast whilst still in the beautiful Sussex countryside.
We live in the main house and so are around to help and advise on best places to visit.

Why they chose this property

Hamsell is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and you can walk to the end of the drive where you will find the well respected Huntsman Pub and Eridge Station with hourly trains to central London in 55 to 65 minutes.

What makes this property unique

There are many varied walks through the property - we have 120 acres made up of permanent pasture with streams and woodland and abundant wildlife consisting of deer, badgers, rabbits, herons, eagles in addition to our cattle, sheep and horses.
The property has a few footpaths that link up with a much larger network of walks around the area.
