About Anne BERRY

My husband and I and our four children have lived at Hamsell for the past 18 years and have now converted the north wing to provide luxury accommodation for the discerning traveller wishing to be close to Tunbridge Wells or the South Coast but to be in the countryside.

We live in the main house and so are around to help and advise on best places to visit.

Anne BERRY purchased this chateau / country house in 1997

Why Anne BERRY chose Tunbridge Wells

Hamsell is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and you can walk to the end of the drive where you will find the well respected Huntsman Pub and Eridge Station with hourly trains to central London in 55 to 65 minutes.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

There are many varied walks through the property - we have 120 acres made up of permanent pasture with streams and woodland and abundant wildlife consisting of deer, badgers, rabbits, herons, eagles in addition to our cattle, sheep and horses.

The property has a few footpaths that link up with a much larger network of walks around the area.

What a wonderful spot, and gracious living. We enjoyed the manor so much, with all the amenities and a wonderful host. We hope to visit again soon.

Ein Haus mit viel Platz und Stil - a great place!

  • 4 of 5

(lots of space, well equipped, new bathrooms, conervatory, in the middle of the countryside - a perfect basis for walks and excursions to castles and gardens, but just one hour train ride to London Bridge station, local train station just 5 min. away by car. Mattress in one of the beds too soft for us.)
