About this property

Large house on a working farm

Set in a very peaceful rural location just three miles from the shores of Loch Lomond on the edge of the Trossachs National Park, Collalis is a great holiday destination and a perfect base from which to explore this stunning part of Scotland with its many activities and attractions.
Wonderfully secluded down a long private driveway this delightful, large self-catering house comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. The surrounding fields and beautiful views make it hard to believe that it is just 18 miles from the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Glasgow.
Furnished to a high standard, Collalis is a charming holiday home which offers plenty of space to relax. The bright, full height hallway is kept invitingly warm by a wood-burning stove and the open fire in the elegant drawing room creates the perfect backdrop for gathering after an active day out and about. The archway between the well-equipped kitchen and dining room creates a large, sociable space ideal for memorable holiday dining. Doors lead out onto a pretty sun-trap terrace with garden seating and a barbeque, and just off the kitchen is a relaxing conservatory offering the perfect spot to unwind with a good book whatever the weather.
The two charming first floor ensuite bedrooms either side of the galleried landing command glorious views across farmland to the hills beyond, while the spacious master ensuite bedroom and two further twin bedrooms are conveniently located on the ground floor making this an ideal holiday retreat for all ages.

Collalis is surrounded by a glorious four acre garden boasting a tennis court - this is a fabulous space for all the family to enjoy. Long summer evenings bring beautiful sunsets over Ben Lomond.

Stunning and peaceful
This was a rare opportunity for my family to all get together and enjoy fun family time. The property is perfect for this. Large family outdoor and indoor areas to eat, play and relax. We spent our time doing a family olympics out in the garden, concerts, board games and tennis. It’s location is easy reach to beautiful Loch Lomond. Bedrooms and bathrooms clean and very comfortable. Honestly I didn’t want to leave, however take home some wonderful memories of our time there.

Family reunited for Christmas
Overall impression of the property was suffient. The grounds were remarkable but the properly itself was somewhat tired but it did have a homely charm about it that was fitting for the time of year.

Great house for a family get together.
Lovely views - we saw haré & deer in the near distance. Beautiful trees especially the ancient oak at the entrance. The house was very well equipped and comfortable and the tennis court was an added bonus altythexrain didn’t allow for many games.
