Stunning House over looking harbour
average rating of 4.25 based on 4 reviews

  • 4 of 5

This beautiful home as been well restored and developed. Rooms are spacious and the bath/shower room was great. The house was clean and the linen was crisp and fresh.

It is in a good location and all facilities in Ilfracombe are in walking distance.

The 44 steps up to the front door were challenging to ageing knees! Would suggest packing small bags and cases when visiting. Noisy seagulls are part of the seaside scene!

Angela was very helpful with a couple of internet issues we had.

Thanks for a great holiday!!

Quirky property with amazing views

  • 4 of 5

The house is approached via 44 steep steps up from the road, and there is no dedicated parking - only council car parks nearby. Once you get to the house, the views over Ilfracombe are amazing. The house itself is unusually laid out, with a first floor lounge overlooking the town, and a quirky bathroom, complete with a roll-top bath in front of a bay window. The second floor open plan bedroom is 28 stairs up from the kitchen. Minus points - no microwave; overgrown garden; no DVD player; aggressive nesting seagulls made it impossible to use the second floor sundeck. Plus points - stunning views over the harbour and hills; great location close to the harbour; the house has clearly been modernised with care and style.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the wonderful views! We apologise for the seagulls and any inconvenience that they may have caused. We have plans to add netting on the property roof to prevent nesting in the future as soon as the chicks are grown enough to leave the nest so that it can be removed. We have also taken measures to ensure that the garden is under better upkeep, with the weekly checklist in place to include gardening. There is as you mentioned not a DVD player in the property but there is a smart TV in its place. It´s great to hear that you enjoyed the property, as the owner has put a lot of thought and love into the refurbishing. Thank you, we hope to welcome you back to Coburg Villas in the future!

A Home with a heart and fab views

  • 4 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this elegant home. The attention to detail yet simplistic styling created a wonderful environment for us, to enjoy each other's company. Cooking in the quaint beautiful kitchen, meals around the dinner table and the wonderful views leave a lasting memory. The local area has lots to see, with Woolacombe and Saunton Sands beaches close by, which was great for the kids. We had great weather that week. The speed and efficiency with which, the reporting of a broken bed was mended was compendable - Thank you to Michelle (on behalf of the owner) Car Park close by. Be prepared for a number of steps to the entrance of the property but well worth the climb. A little treat for the kids were the baby seagulls nesting on the roof of the lovely lookout at the top of the house. We visited each morning to see how they were doing! Mummy seagull proudly guarding her brood. Hoping to return.

Aussergewöhnliches Haus mit super Ausblick auf den Hafen

  • 5 of 5
