Lovely House

Left on Apr 3, 2016 for a stay in Mar 2016

I stayed here with my family for a week & half. This property is very comfortable and good value for money. It is in a great location right next to the Beveridge Park so my 4 year old & our dog loved it. There is also a lovely garden to sit out in. We were very well looked after during our stay and nothing was too much trouble. I am sure anyone who stays here in the future will not be disappointed.

Wonderful base to explore eastern Scotland

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Southerton house (no 4) for 5 nights with my spouse, mother-in-law, and 2 daughters (4 years and 1.5 years). We all had a wonderful time. John is a great host, extremely helpful and informative, attentive, kind and gracious.

The park is literally right next door, and the kids enjoyed the playground and the ducks in the lake. There is also a nice garden in the back that we spent some afternoons in.

The train station is about a 15 minute walk, and then an easy 45 minute ride into Edinburgh waverly. The house is also a good base for the Fife coast and St Andrews.

One level, spacious rooms, beautiful living room with dining nook. The house has lots of character, inside and out.

We felt lucky to have found John's place.

Great house for a big group

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Johns house for a month while doing some work in Glenrothes. The house is big enough that nobody is on each other’s toes and people have their own space. There is a beautiful park next door. We did not need much assistnce but it was great knowing John was only a phone call away. If we have to come back we will most definitely stay again.

Nice property.........but....

  • 3 of 5

Nice property well located within kirkcaldy. Spacious and has everything you need for a wonderful stay.

John the host is lovely and very helpful.

Only downfall was the cleanliness of the kitchen, grill had not been cleaned and was thick with grease, also plates which still had food stuck to them in the cupboard. This isn’t great at the best of times but more so when you notice that a ‘professional cleaning’ fee has been added to the rental.

Not withstanding this a great property that I will use again.

Lovely nice place to stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I as a family of 3 small children with in-laws together, enjoyed very much the stay. The owner John was very friendly. We arrived in the evening, and he waited us outside. Without that, it would take us a much longer time to find the place just with the help of GPS. Really appreciate that indeed. And he introduced us around, very helpful. We watched 3D TV, actually my first time in life! The train station is close by, free parking, very convenient for us to travel to Edinburgh, Dundee, etc. The shower, bed room, kitchen, etc, were all in good condition. All in all, very good place to stay. Highly recommended!

Great location, comfortable and friendly owner

  • 4 of 5

We just loved it! John is very friendly, and explained everything with that typical British humor, which was a nice start of our holiday. It is a great location, ideal to make trips to Edinburgh, St Andrews etc. but also to e.g. the Bonnet Stane at West Lomond, brilliant!

Recommended to families, 3 large bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen.
