Laid with oak hardwood flooring and fitted with pine wood doors, the uplifting warmth of the natural wood flows throughout the rooms and is complemented by a stylish L-shaped sofa and a modernist dining table ideal for enjoying the freshest seafood. The dual aspect windows allow plenty of light to flood in, making it ideal for relaxing in throughout the day.

A flat screen Freeview TV is also provided for enjoying your favourite shows whilst WIFI access offers more convenient home comfort within this exclusive setting.

The chic blue lighting and contemporary ambience of the dining room offers the ideal ‘wow factor’ for hosting dinner parties for up to 6, and leads straight through to a separate kitchen; to make the journey for the chef as convenient as possible!

Fully equipped for a self-catering stay, the sleek white cabinets and solid wood worktops of the chic kitchen are home to all the must-have appliances, including an eye-level oven, electric hob, microwave, slim line dishwasher, fridge freezer and a washer machine.

A decked courtyard outside offers a pretty venue for hosting ‘alfresco’ meals whilst guests are also just moments away from enjoying a relaxed drink on top of the sea wall, whilst the sun sets.

Upstairs the captivating cottage offers two very spacious and beautifully presented bedrooms. The front double master bedroom features a king size solid wooden bed and offers a lovely selection of serene coloured soft furnishings complemented by premium quality bedding, for a sumptuous night sleep.

Guests can fully unwind here, with a charming window seat also enabling guests to take a moment with their favourite book. The second equally stylish bedroom is situated to the back of the property and offers a twin bed arrangement ideal for sleeping friends and family. For added flexibility a double sofa bed to the downstairs living room accommodates 2 further guests if needed.

Stairs lead to a contemporary bathroom fitted with a power shower and a luxury deep bath for enjoying a restful moment here during your stay, with your favourite tunes also being played in the background to the waterproof music stereo provided.

Beautiful distant views of the Penryn River from the side windows of the property provide a lovely back drop to the interior of this seaside gem. Outside guests are just moments away from the public slipway and the haul-out moorings of Fish Cross, making this the ideal location for water sports fans travelling with their own equipment.

Staying in the heart of Flushing village means staying in a pretty idyll lived in by a vibrant and accessible community. Guests will find a well-stocked village shop to cater for their stay here whilst the two local pubs and quayside Bistro restaurant also offer the perfect dining out option whenever the feeling takes you.

Being located on a street corner, it is also a cheerful spot as everyone passes by on their way to school, ferry, shop and pub. The ferry is only a couple of minutes away at Flushing Quay. Families with slightly older children often value the independence the ferry provides for adult-free time out in Falmouth, with the safety of the last ferry bringing everyone home in time for tea.

Older village residents recall the cottage being home to a lady who baked and sold 1 penny pies from the windows and relatives of the family who built the three houses (4, 5 & 6) together are still in Flushing.

Flushing features a wonderful pirate-themed play area for children to enjoy and guests travelling with well-behaved dogs can easily reach the coastal path to Mylor and also the beautiful dog friendly beach at Kiln Quay.

The village’s welcoming appeal and strong sense of community spirit culminates in sailing regattas, art events and customary festivals and markets throughout year. A frequent passenger ferry service also runs to Falmouth and on to St Mawes, Mylor, Trelissick and Truro; allowing guests a wonderful way in which to pass the time and discover more of the breathtaking beauty, to reach beaches and to discover the history of this truly captivating part of Cornwall.

Great house in a super village - a real slice of Cornish life at it's best!

The house was bright, clean and very well equipped and the location was super - the village has 2 great pubs and a busy shop. We particularly like The Seven Stars - great food and very friendly. Take the ferry to Falmouth, it runs every 30 minutes and the kids loved it. We would definitely recommend this house.
