About the property

occasionally rented second home preferring small families / couples -no pets

Built in 1830 the house has four bedrooms. The house is set over three floors with the kitchen and living room on the top floor with spectacular views across Back Beach. Two bathrooms one of which is an ensuite are on the middle floor along with two bedrooms. Two additional bedrooms are on the ground floor. Whilst the house can accommodate ten people it is NOT suitable for ten adults. Two families with young children sharing can be accommodated. Smaller parties preferred as there isn't seating for ten upstairs.

It has immense character with original ships beams throughout. This is our holiday house and is set up as such with our personal possessions inside. We only occasionally rent the house for a very limited number of weeks per year to cover costs and much prefer smaller parties.

The house is yards from the beach and located on the edge of a working harbour. It is next door to the New Quay Inn which has live music on a Friday and Saturday night. The pub is extremely friendly with a fun middle / late aged crowd. Two fantastic restaurants yards away are Fresco and The Crab Shack, but need pre booking. Opposite the house is a seafood deli with locally caught fresh seafood, homemade fish pate and all sorts of exquisite goodies for adults and kids. The local shops are a few minutes walk as we are part of the town with a Co-op and Waitrose.

It is strictly a no smoking property and no pets.There are no stair gates and the top stairs are quite steep.

Cot

Parking - its easy to unload outside the house and you can park for short periods on the quayside opposite the house. Its best to park overnight in the Quayside car park approximately 100 yards away (twenty odd pounds for the week).

The master bed is king size, whilst downstairs is a double. Two single beds are Ikea so we leave bed sheets for these.

Otherwise bed sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and towels and tea towels are NOT provided.

Keys will be posted and you will be asked to post them back in a prepaid envelope then your deposit will be returned.

A cleaner is charged for but please leave the property as you found it.
