The house is set along a quiet and private country lane within easy reach of the attractive, thriving village of Collobrières where there are excellent restaurants bars, and shops.

The interior is full of rustic charm and retains the original cabanon layout with a stairway leading to the two double bedrooms, shower room and WC.

The village of Collobrières, famous for its Chestnut Festival, is ideally located for walking or cycling holidays in the Maures mountains. Just 30 minutes away are the superb beaches of the Bay of Hyères and St Tropez. Easy motorway access just 20 minutes drive with airports at Toulon/Hyères, Marseille and Nice. This property is ideal as a simple and relaxing hideaway in Provence.

  • The master bedroom is in the older part of the house and has access to the outside via a door and steps down to the garden. There is a door (lower than standard height) which leads to the shower room and stairs. There is a antique double bed, a chest of drawers and hanging rails. The bedroom is quite a good size. The second bedroom is in the newer part of the house and is adjacent to the shared bathroom and landing.

Ruhe, Einsamkeit und Natur

Wir haben 9 Tage Sonne gehabt, so dass wir den Aufenfthalt auf der Terrasse in vollen Zügen genießen konnten. Das Haus liegt in einer Sackgasse und ist das vorletzte Haus. Zugang nur für Anlieger. Die Ruhe ist herrlich, aber für Städter vielleicht ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig wegen der nächtlichen Stille. Umgeben von Kork- und Steineichen, auf einem terrassierten mit alten Weinstöcken, Olivenbäumen, Feigenkakteen und verschiedenen Eichenarten bewchsenen Grundstück liegt das 1868 gebaute Haus ganz und gar in der Natur. Es gibt drei Eingänge, auch einen direkt zum Schlafzimmer, was sehr praktisch ist. Zu Fuss dauert es ca. 30 min nach Collobrieres, der Weg ist zu Fuss wunderbar zu gehen, in herrlicher Natur, mit dem Auto etwas abenteuerlich, da unbefestigt und mit vielen tiefen Abflussrinnen. Dort gibt es das notwendigste, nächste Supermärkte gibt es in Pierrefeu oder Cogolin. Umgebung ist Wald , Wald und Wald, so viel wie in der Nähe der Mittelmeerküste wohl nirgendswo sonst.

Und wer die Natur (es gibt so vieles zu entdecken auf dem Grudnstück und in der nahen Umgebung: Schildkröten, Füchse, Spechte, Orchideen, Geckos, Waldkäuze usw.) und die Ruhe liebt,für den ist dieses gut eingerichtete Haus ein Traum.

Vacances à Collobrières

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances dans cet ancien cabanon situé dans la forêt Hormis le chant des oiseaux ,il y règne un calme total . C'est un endroit magnifique et reposant . Ceux qui aiment la marche y trouveront leur bonheur . Petit bémol le chemin qui mène à la location est assez chaotique . Le village est charmant et animé . On y trouve des petits commerces ainsi que médecin ,dentiste , pharmacie et distributeur de billets . Ils y a aussi de bons restaurants . La région est très belle est mérite d'être visitée .
