Glencoe is a large, charming, end of terrace period town house in the heart of bustling Wadebridge (voted one of the best places to live in Cornwall - Sunday Times 2015).

The well-appointed double-fronted house has a bright, airy, eclectic feel. Restored traditional features including; painted wood & slate floors and re-loved vintage finds, give the property real character. There are 2 reception rooms; one of which is a lovely reading room with an exposed slate chimney breast. The other reception area is a great social space, complete with log burning stove, comfy seating, farmhouse table and open plan kitchen. Upstairs, there are are 3 comfortable bedrooms; 1 king, 1 double and a twin. There's also a bathroom with mains shower. The WC is separate. A large well-planted lawned garden sits to the side of the house with a sun trap courtyard at the rear. Free wifi throughout, you'll certainly feel relaxed and at home.

The house is perfectly situated to take full advantage of the Camel Trail Cycle path (a beautiful 17 mile scenic cycle and walking route following the old railway line connecting Bodmin Moor to Padstow) as it actually runs past the house! There is a large garage for bike storage.

Wadebridge itself is the ideal location for exploring either side of the Camel estuary, from Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Tintagel, Port Isaac to the East and Padstow, Newquay, Watergate Bay, Eden Project, Falmouth and St Ives to the West.

Wadebridge has an array of shops and places to relax. Cosy pubs, restaurants, tea shops, bakeries, a 2-screen cinema, a fishmonger, butchers, play park (with tennis courts) and a large supermarket, all within a level 2 min walk of the house. You never need get in the car!

Glencoe is the perfect base for a memorable family Cornish holiday.

Bei unserer Ankunft erwartete uns ein liebevoll renoviertes Ferienhaus, in dem es uns an nichts fehlte. Zur Begrüßung hatte der Vermieter uns eine Flasche Wein und eine Packung Shortbread in einem Korb angerichtet. Die Zimmer waren außergewöhnlich groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In Punkto Sauberkeit gab es keine Mängel. Der Garten präsentierte sich in einem sehr guten Pflegezustand und bot Platz zum verweilen. Es bestand jederzeit die Möglichkeit vor dem Haus zu parken. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind Supermärkte, die die Eigenversorgung sichern. Einziger Mangel war für uns der niedrige Wasserdruck der Dusche, was allerdings für englische Verhältnisse absolut normal zu sein scheint. Leider konnten wir unseren Vermieter nicht persönlich kennen lernen. Wir können dieses Haus guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen!

Lovingly renovated cottage !



When we arrived we found a lovingly renovated holiday house where we lacked nothing . On arrival the landlord had provided us with a bottle of wine and a pack of shortbread in a basket . The rooms were exceptionally large and furnished tastefully . In terms of cleanliness there were no flaws . The garden presented itself in a very good condition - a lovely space to space to linger . There was always space outside the house to park . In the immediate vicinity there are shops . The only drawback was the low water pressure in the shower , which seems to be absolutely normal for English standards but for us. We did not meet our landlord personally but we can recommend this house in good conscience !

  • Our bathroom is not the most modern, but it is spacious and bright. There is a sink, bath and a mains operated wall mounted shower. It's not a power shower, but the pressure is ample. We have a separate W.C

The house was just as described and had lots of character . Perfect for quick access to town .

We enjoyed sitting around the table and sharing meal times . Plenty of space to share downstairs and the bedrooms were bright and airy .

It was good to be able to stroll into town . We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Ship Inn over the bridge . It was a bit inconvenient that we couldn't always park outside the property and had to find spaces further down the road .

We used the bikes to access the camel trail into padstow . This was super and only took 45 minutes to get there . Saved a lot of hassle with parking in Padstow and was a picturesque ride .

Beautiful

Wonderful spacious house, amazing part of the country. The only critism is the lack of water pressure for the shower, apart from that we would highly recommend the place :)
