El Soto de Marbella is a real gem of a place to stay. You are in the mountains taking in beautiful fresh air overlooking the bay of Marbella relaxing in the spa, working out in the gym or playing golf yet in under 10 minutes drive you can be at the beach and the supermarkets and hundreds of restaurants and bars.

You can visit beautiful White villages of Ojen and Mijas nearby and Ronda and Córdoba are easily reached. Venture a little further to see the Alahambra Palace in Granada, the historic city of Seville or the monkeys at the Rock of Gibraltar.

For shoppers or celebrity spotters visit Puerto Banus for designer shops and billionaire yaughts and sports cars.

El Soto de Marbella was declared a World Biosphere Reservation by UNESCO (for its protected cork and oak trees and rare plants and birds.) and is situated in the hills above Elviria, Marbella. Elviria around 6-8 minutes away has an excellent range of supermarkets and bars and restaurants. The beach at Elviria is ideal for families and has jet skiing and kite boarding. La Cala under 10 minutes away has a typical Spanish square and beautiful beach and plenty of shops and restaurants and bars serving some wonderful Spanish food.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful apartment

The apartment was wonderful, well equipped with everything one could imagine, stayed with young children with access to various pools set in a beautiful golf course and only a few mins drive to supermarkets, restaurants etc, my wife and kids described it as one of the best holiday apartments we had ever stayed in and would like to thank you guys for providing the accommodation, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a modern holiday apartment in a fantastic location

Condo was great - location not so

Pros: The condo itself was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Owner was very good to deal with. The use of the restaurant at the clubhouse was ideal. Elviria had a good grocery shopping plaza and there were some interesting restaurants in La Cala de Mijas.

Cons: The 15 minute drive up and down the mountainside on the windy road every time you wanted to venture from the condo was a huge annoyance. My fault - I should have paid more attention to the location.

Fantastic apartment, in a lovely family location

On arrival apartment was spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything you may need during your stay from kitchen equipment to hair dryers. Very high quality furniture throughout.

There were 4 pools (1 heated) all within minutes walk, and never once struggled to find available sun loungers, for our family of four. Gardeners and pool cleaners were around daily keeping the complex immaculate.

The club house was just a short stroll, which served good quality food reasonably priced (for the area). There are also 2 more restaurants just a 15minute walk up the hill.

Shops and further restaurants just a 10minute drive down the mountain in Elivia

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

A lovely apartment with fantastic views across the hills. Very clean and well equipped. Had a very relaxing few weeks. A car is essential due to the location but that wasn't a problem for us as we love to explore and this was an ideal base from which to do so. The only thing I would suggest is to have more information to hand for guests such as checking out info - we had to ask what we were supposed to do with the keys on our final day as we hadn't been told - and places to visit. This wasn't a problem for us as we know the area really well, but would have been helpful for first time visitors. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to return at a future date.

Clean & modern apartment, will use again

This is a stunning apartment that is beautifully and tastefully furnished. It is has everything you need to relax and enjoy your holiday, if you like to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped and the furniture on the terrace is perfect for an evening of alfresco dining. The owners were extremely helpful during the booking process, as was Claire who met us when we arrived. She gave us a tour of this beautiful apartment and answered all our questions. The apartment is perfectly situated with easy access to one of the many pools on the complex, a short walk from the terrace steps. The clubhouse has a fantastic and delicious range of menus, and is just a few minutes stroll from the apartment, with fantastic views along the way. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, even booking us a taxi for a trip into Elviria. We will definitely return soon.
